...such a ladytron & freezepop.
Yay or nay? Discuss.
Also, how do you search old posts to discover whether or not the post you are about to make has already been done?
:-)

electro pop sounds like a popsicle.
Also, Ace of Base.
-
i like ladytron.
i like adult. too.
and postal service.
i dislike peaches.
-
I enjoy Ladytron, Fischerspooner and a few more. I think I would like ADULT. better if they had a different singer. I'm not really into anything Miss Kittin does. Postal Service is alright but I can't really listen to it anymore. I think it's funny that Peaches is praised for her in your face sexuality while Li'l Kim is shunned for her in your face sexuality, and speaks to a larger issue.

Would Death From Above 1979 count here? Methinks they would, and melikes them a lot...
-
Wolfsheim?
-
DFA1979 is the actual definition of post-hardcore. They utilize synths, but so did Wire; they're too loud and harsh to be classified as synthpop, methinks. However, they do play +150 Drum'n'Bass of Awesome, so uh yeah I guess we could count them based purely on how cool they are.
I'm all about The Postal Service, M.I.A., Erasure, Tahiti80, Bjork, Digital Ash-mode Bright Eyes, and the more synth-based moments of The Bravery.
However, the best indie synth/electro-pop right now is hands-down Metric.
-
But we could class DFA1979 as indie synth perhaps?
-
Neuroticfish?
-
metric?
and for the second part, try the "search" link at the top

Post-hardcore synth-rock is the most I'll give you.
-
Grr.
How about The Faint?
-
Le Tigre.
-
Some of you are working with really odd definitions of synth-pop.
-
Why do you think we are here?!

I'm in with considering DFA1979 indie synth.... at which point, it's them and Metric tied for the win... Canadian bands... Woo!
Obviously The Postal Service is in there as well, and, though they dub themselves "New Wave Punk", I'd throw in some stuff from the Epoxies too... i.e. "Synthesized"
-
The faint was mentioned but neglected. They are schweet.
Also, and I can already feel the backlash from this, but for really poppy synth-pop, the new Motion City Soundtrack isn't half bad.
-
With stuff like Everything is Alright, Make Out Kids, and Time Turn Fragile, I'd have to agree with the MCS
-
Freezepop is yummy.
