wow this is so funny.
i have stumbled upon Calvin's Snowmen Gallery! (http://www.angelfire.com/wa/zzaran/calvin.html)
-
That is just what I needed to brighten up my day.
-
Oh yay! I've always wished we got snow like that.
-
That is awesome, I love calvin and hobbes.
-
They have started showing it again in my newspapers comic section
-
I love you in a non-sexual way.
-
I love you. Possibly even in a sexual way. If you're interested, just call me. ... Um, I mean ... Never mind.
The snow art comics are awesome. I made a huge poster with tons of snow art comics for my ex some time ago, I should take a picture of that. It's pretty cool.

Damnit, WHEN'S WINTER?

Yes, apparantly one of the L.A. Times comics is replaced by old Calvin and Hobbes. I love it, since I never had the oppurtunity to read it in the paper. Mabey it wil inspire Bill Watterson to draw again.....
-
I dont think Bill Watterson will draw anymore comics, sadly. The book companies will probably just release older comics in newer books. :)
I've read Calvin and Hobbes since I was nine, I think I'd just be happy with the fact I can look on my bookshelf and see all of the Anniversary collections.
Seriously, this link brightened up my day. Nothing like Calvin and his commentaries on art. :D

Assuming my media release form made it back to Andrews McMeel unmolested, Bill Watterson will be answering at least one of my questions in the Q&A they'll be printing in papers later this month (read more here (http://www.andrewsmcmeel.com/calvinandhobbes/returning.html)). I don't remember what I asked, exactly... I know the first question had to do with cartoonists exploring new opportunities online, and what he thought about that, given his gripes about newspaper cartooning. I think the second was about advice for aspiring cartoonists, and there was a third which I'm drawing a blank on. Naturally, I'm hoping he responds to the webcomics question.

The important bit, which your link mentioned but your post did not, is that the strips are there to raise the profile of the strip for the upcoming three volume complete Calvin and Hobbes collection. Commence Drooling (http://www.freep.com/entertainment/newsandreviews/calvin1e_20050901.htm) The reruns on the comics page will last until the end of the year.

aka REAL SHITTY
-
MY PAPER HAS RESTARTED CALVIN AND HOBBES AS WELL!
Rejoice!
-
there used to be a website http://www.stfunoob.com/calvin_hobbes/index.htm that had all the comics EVAR.
but i think they took it down when the complete edition was released.

I hav heard from several sources that all Bill Watterson does is hang out with his dad and paint on a canvas, alone, out in the woods. He completes one painting each day, and then BURNS it without ever showing anyone.
-
Don't say that!! That makes me want to cry!!!
-
The rumored reason behind that is that he heard an adage that an artist's first 500 paintings are just practice.
