Spiff? From PEEL (and elsewhere), I presume. An odd coincedence, though not too baffling.
Well, I came here to announce that these days, I listen to:
Naked Lunch - King George
Jeff Buckley - I Know We Could Be So Happy, Baby (If We Wanted To Be)
Mew - Special
Mew - Panda
...and Shellac's "1000 Hurts" (thanks to the aforementioned above poster, actually), since I haven't been able to order "At Action Park" on vinyl anywhere. Also, I ordered "Ride The Skies" about five months ago, and if I could, I'd listen to that a whole buncha lot.

Spiff? From PEEL (and elsewhere), I presume. An odd coincedence, though not too baffling.
Heh, slowly but surely, PEELers are invading. Robiben is hiding here somewhere too.
Also, this is somewhat surprising, I have to say.
edit: Pikka: If you want the vinyl version of At Action Park and can't find it anywhere, check out www.greenhell.de - it's where I order most of my CDs, they have it. And they ship to Denmark as well. It's well worth it, At Action Park is an incredibly good album.
-
These three songs I could listen to for hours, and tonight, I think I may.
Decemberists - Song For Myla Goldberg
Letters To Cleo - Pete Beat
Raveonettes - Remember
-
@Spiff: That sounds like wisdom, but for the warning in my head. You see, the Danish postal service are known to mistreat whatever they can get their hands onto, so a vinyl album in the mail would probably get shattered pretty effectively. How do they (Greenhell) package vinyls?
-
No idea, I must admit that, while I'll lose indie points here, I hardly ever order vinyl. But they package their CDs in tons of paper and bubble wrap or whatever they happen to have there and then in a box.
Nothing they've sent to me (and I ordered tons of stuff) was damaged so far.
Edit: Adding to my list:
JR Ewing - Repition Is Failure
Jawbox - For Your Own Special Sweetheart (the whole damn album)
-
I just started getting vinyls recently when my dad brought home a (destroyed) player. I have a few good ones so far, and I can list them all from memory:
Jeff Buckley - "Grace"
Roxette - "Look Sharp" (the first one I got- mostly because of nostalgia and the fact that it cost $1.5)
QOTSA - "Rated 'R'" (Ltd. Gatefold with plenty of mammaries inside the cover (which I knew nothing of before purchasing it, of course))
Portishead - S/T
Patti Smith - "Trampin'"
The Velvet Underground - The banana one...
-
Nash The Slash - Swing Shift (Soixante Neuf)
-
'My Girlfriend's Way Too Hot For Me' and all the live shit that Banger posts on the Red Smear site.
That's www.redsmear.com for the new and www.hangdogs.com for Banger's old shit. Let me know what some of you think of it.

Lately..."Lucky Charm" and "Further North" by Jets to Brazil have been seeing a few plays; "Sick of Modern Art" by the Explosion was my song for today. Walking Concert's "The Animals", Ted Leo/rx "Squeaky Fingers", "The High Party", and the entire new Suicide Machines album...quite a few songs, really.

Recently, I couldn't listen to Jezebel by Iron & Wine enough. I almost started listening only to the banjo solo, but decided that'd be taking it too far...
More recently, I've been unable to turn away from Yo La Tengo's two-disc retrospective, "Prisoners of Love." First I've heard of them... but not the last. Oooh no, not the last...
-
I have a new obsession with David Allen Coe - The Rodeo Song. Those of you that have heard it know what I mean by "fuck".

-
How about no?
You're an idiot.
Not in the sense that you just don't like my music taste, and so are not intelligent. I just think you are a pretty stupid person is all. Just so you know.
All because I don't like the album and think that your post was really annoying and stupid? That's nice. Fuck you very much, moron.
I've been listening to Bear Vs. Shark's Kylie over and over again recently, as well as Crash and Die by Mock Orange.
-
All I've heard by Wilco is "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" and at first listen before looking to see who it was I thought it was one of the out takes from Slanted and Enchanted I had purchased.
I've been stuck on MC Chris both Fett's Vett and DQ Blizzard. As well as Bleach - Revenge of the Canary Empire.
-
hmmm, most likely the most played song in my ipod is Civil War by GNR, but that is just cumulative. I'd say Ziggy stardust, but i'm now transitioning into No Way Back from In your honor by the foo fighters.
