-
What are the dates? I might be able to make the Hague one...
-
Probably better off checking the er....Hague site.
The source i've got them from doesn't have dates, but I checked the Rescue Rooms website and there was a date.
-
Its not that soon. Theyre playing MA, US in early October.
-
14th November is the Nottingham date.
-
No one in Denmark, and not even in Sweden, bastards!
-
Yeah I saw them in Seattle last week, was a pretty good show, except more people should have been dancing, maybe it was to early for alot of people but anyways, definitly see them.
-
i didnt know you could really dance well to the decembrists...
-
Pfft, you can do the Indie Shuffle to anything!
-
Ah, the indy shuffle. Hands in your pockets, or arms crossed.
Now put your weight to your left.
Put your weight to your right.
Apologize for touching the person to your right.
Nod a bit.
Repeat.
-
Going to see them tonight along with Sons and Daughters who I saw yesterday at an instore performance, looks like it's going to be a great show.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Awww, the London date is the same day that I want to see Of Montreal.
This is hard.
*weeps*
-
Im going to Of Montreal as well :p
Diffrent days for me though!!!!
ROOOOARAHAAHHAHHAA
-
There really isn't any chance that either will sell out and have to add an extra date is there?
Decemberists maybe? Actually they didn't even sell out some shitty little nowhere venue last time when they played with The Unicorns and I don't think they've got all that much bigger since then.
Hmm...this ain't fun. Although I get the feeling my girlfriend won't let me decide in favour of Of Montreal so this might be made quite easy.
-
They sold out the Fillmore here in SF for two nights.
-
I'm going to see them oct 20th in montreal. *excited*

out of curiosity when is the london date? i can't seem to find out - also, where would one be able to buy tickets for said london date? cheers
-
Wait
Is the Nottingham date 18+ ?????
-
i didnt know you could really dance well to the decembrists...
Really? I think they're very danceable. And I'm going to dance when I see them in Providence on Oct. 8!
-
I kind of imagine self-conscious drunken jigs going on. The indie version of a culture fest. Without the weird foods.
-
Well, guess that means I won't be seeing them around town during that time. It's kind of fun seeing their keyboardist sleeping on the train.
-
Why can't decent bands ever do a North American tour. I'm stuck with going to emo concerts with my friends, whilst all the other Indie kids get to go to Decemberists and The Arcade Fire and other good stuff. I hereby deem this all not fair.

The Arcade Fire are doing a pretty Canadian tour as we speak. Their even going to Saskatoon, which isn't exactely a cultural oasis. You gotta remember though that not all communities can support indie shows for bigger bands like that.

Wait
Is the Nottingham date 18+ ?????
Rescue Rooms is always 18+
But you'll be with me, so you'll probably get in. That being said, they never ID anyone at the RR anyway, so aslong as you lot don't act ridiculously immature you should be ok.
-
Weeeee i get to go with sturge and...well sturge.
The immaturity problems that i have may cause a problem.
-
The more I think of it - and the more I listen to them - the more I feel like going to the Brussels concert. One of my new year's resolutions for this year was to do lots and lots of concerts, but so far I've been to 2, if I recall correctly. (Wow do I ever suck at resolutions huh!) Time to redeem myself, I say.
I'll probably have to go alone since none of my friends are into that stuff, and even then I'll have to leave early to make it back to the train station, otherwise I'm stuck in downtown Brussels for the night. Not cool. But still, who knows it might be worth the effort.
Would it be worth the effort? :P

HURR! BUMZ!
Also, where can I get the info on these Of Montreal dates, I'm quite, no, very interested
-
Wait, so now im giving lifts to people I don't even know?
How many 15 year olds am I taking?!
-
Depends.
How many 15 year old Decemberists fans can you hold in your car if they are stacked length wise like firewood?

Enough.
If I use an axe.
-
damn italy and her lack of indie music!
-
These wanking bastards never played in San Diego and never got closer then LA. :(
-
I am SO either at Nottingham or Manchester.
Nottingham's a bit closer, I think (I'm in Stafford), but I have family (two sets of aunts, uncles and cousins) pretty close to Manchester...
I think I'll go to Nottingham. See you there, Sturge?
-
If you mean me, then yes!
Probably the same for my bro.
My grandmother lives in Stafford...
-
Can't immediately think of anyone else on this board I'd be likely to call "Sturge"...
-
Hurrah!
I will see you there then, along with Cpt.Fantastic, Fabio and Kirkles.
The QC-ers will be out in force it seems.
-
I just saw the Decemberists about a week ago in Tempe. Seriously one of the best shows I've been to in a long time.
Ah, Colin Meloy. How dear you are to me.
-
The London show is gonna be setting numerous socks rocking. And mine shall be rocked the most.
-

Yes you would! Me!
My bro stole my nickname you see, but not on internet message boards -_-
-
I just saw them last night, and I have to say, it was the best show (and the funnest) I've ever had the pleasure of attending. I was definitely swooning over Colin Meloy the whole time. About half an hour after the show, I saw Chris Funk come out the back exit and walk down the sidewalk. I wonder where he was headed.
-
I saw them a couple weeks ago at the Glass house. Great show, Colin also gave an interesting origin to The Chimbly Sweep. It involved Dick Cheney.
-
I think I'll go to Nottingham. See you there, Sturge?
you will get to meet me!!! *waves at switchblade*
