Anyone gonna go catch Architecture in Helsinki durring their US tour? I am gonna' catch them when they hit Tucson, AZ. If anyone local people are going to catch them there, let me know. I am new here and wouldn't mind meeting new people.
-
I might make a half-assed effort to catch them in Chicago. Depends on money/employment.
-
maybe
I'll try

I'm going to the Montreal show. Luckily, I got tickets before they sold out.
This is probably the third time that I have mentioned that I am going to see them on this forum.
-
I wish. But that would probably require me driving for at least 2 hours, possibly more to get to the venue, and being that I'm the only person I know that would pay money to see them, I'd have to do it alone, and thats a no. But maybe I could convince someone to tag along... hmm....
-
you could take me

They're playing the Casbah in San Diego so I'll check them out if they're not to expensive. The Casbah is one of my favorite dive music joints that never the less seems to get lots of top notch acts.

Got tix to see them on Oct. 3rd at the Warsaw in Brooklyn. Fuuck, yeeeeh. Their travelogue about their last tour on Pitchfork, which I'm far too lazy to link too, is so awesome that I'm sort of jazzed about the concert 'cuz I just want to be part of their story y'know. Ok, not really, but they sound like unbelievably cool people. I like that in my bands :)
Edit: Oerdin I don't know about where you are, but my tix cost like 12.50 a piece or something. Not bad. I tend to spend more than that on a movie. Or, you, know, on lunch.

Architecture in Helsinki is great, but I really doubt they're coming anywhere around my area, and I can't be arsed to go too far.

Yeah, that's the main attraction to live indie music for me; that I can watch great bands for under $20. Compare that to the $100 per person my girlfriend and I paid to see the Eagles or the $150 U2 was charging if you could even get their tickets. You can get like 5 indie concerts for the price of one of the big established names.

Not to mention the fact, that I love AiH, but hate U2. Go figure. I guess my taste in music is, like, cost-effective or something.

The most I ever spent on a ticket was last winter at Deck the Hall Ball in Seattle. $35 got me in to see Keen, The Shins, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand, and Modest Mouse all in one show. I feel it was a good deal.
-
$65 for Bob Dylan was the most I ever payed. There was no opening act, he played for two hours with no pause. This was right after Love and Theft was released. It was worth every penny.[/i]

I just thought that I would vent my frustration over the fact that AIH have cancelled their show in Montreal tonight.
That sold-out show that I managed to get tickets to. The show that I have been looking foward to for a long, long while.
Oh well. My anger is subsiding.

Given their hectic touring schedule, I'm sure they'll be back soon. Isn't this their second visit to North America in the last few months?
-
I caught them on their tour earlier this summer. Very awesome.
Sadly, though, they're playing the same night as Clap Your Hands Say Yeah this time around, and since I've already seen Architecture, I'm gunna go with Clap Your Hands.
-
It turns out that their van broke down in Chicago. My anger is subsiding.
