What can I say? I love the guy. I wouldn't listen to all of his albums back to back or anything, but he's cool in my books. He is the thinking man's face of Canadian rock. And plus, everything album provides something new.

And double plus, he hit on my sister once. SCORE.

Dude, you're so banished from Canada.

I'm excited about the comp., and I love seeing him live, but unluckily for me, Matt Good hates Toronto. He told the crowd off lst time I saw him, which was pretty amusing.

Personally, my favourite albums by him/band would be have to be Beautiful Midnight, Audio of Being and Avalanche.  He's such a lyrical genius....and hot.

What city does Matt Good not hate? Someone threw a shoe at him when he was in Regina once and he didn't come back for like eight years.

Of course, that's because I live in a city of DOLTS.

EDIT: Fave album's Beautiful Midnight, and Audio Of Being is a very close second.

Top Three would have to be Avalanche just because it is beautiful arranged and carried out, Beautiful Midnight and Underdogs, which always satisfies my need for rawk.

I enjoy Beautiful Midnight and Avalanche as well.
I once spent hours trying to find every hidden message in the video for "Weapon".
I am sort of a weird chick.

That's understandable, ephemere. Well, maybe not understandable, but I have witnessed such devotion to Good before.

Also, did it piss anyone off the slightest bit that he released "Weapon" on a Big Shiny Tunes compilation before the album was out?

That's no surprise.

As far as I know, he hasn't received any airplay down in the states, and besides a few scatterred reviews, alternative publications aren't really picking up on him.

I actually only know of him because 2 good friends of mine are quite possibly the biggest Matt Good fans EVER, and they pretty much forced him on me.
I never really realised he was mainstream at all. I guess he isn't.

I feel kind of bad that the only album I have is "White Light Rock 'n Roll Review", and it is BLOODY AWESOME.

I actually forgot it existed until yesterday, when I was cleaning my room. I have not stopped listening to it since.

I love White Light as well. If you want another one by Good and you enjoy that one, Underdogs is another straight-up rock album along the same lines.

Ah, yes, I shall have to purchase another Good album.

But first, I'll have to spend every last penny I have on Radiohead. And I know that about thirty indie kids have spontaneously decided they hate me for that very comment, but I don't care too much. ^^ 'tis one of the wonders of being perceived as too airheaded to understand when you're being made fun of.
