Eh, it's pretty good. I haven't been able to get that into it though, for some reason. A lot of people have been saying it tops You Forgot it in People, but I disagree, personally.

It's awesome, you really need to get it. It's different from YFIIP and not as good (at least to my ears), but it's definatly worth buying and then some. The EP that comes with the first printing of it is also decent.

Drunk posts are amazing. Especially when they're Khar's. Seriously, Khar, drink more.

I really need someone in my life to tell me not to get drunk. Too bad I fucked it up with Leah. She was PERFECT. I ruined it all but it might be salvageable. Keyword MIGHT It has to be if I can't stop thinking of her. R9ight now I'm tunning on 2 heavily spiked rum colas. If/when my parents find out how much of their rum I drank they will be pissed. I'm not drinking anymore tonight

I personally find it more accessible than You Forgot it In People. Good stuff. Worthy of purchasing.

It's one of those albums in which when you get hooked on it, you can listen to it for any ocassion!

Strangely enough, I've had the album since it leaked, and the single "7/4 Shorelines" even before that, but I haven't listened to it besides the single.

Really good album. Doesn't top People, but you can't deny its greatness. Worth owning definitely.

Honestly, I think it is better than YFIIP, I still try and listen to the leak as much as possible.

I ordered the actual album about a week ago on Amazon, delivery time? 4-6 weeks. Fuck :'(

I've stopped posting on the forums when I'm drunk because people a) complain and b) don't believe I'm drunk. Despite the fact that I'm clearly fucked out of my mind.

Amazon delivered it to me two days ago, despite saying that the estimated time of delivery was the 18th.

I can't seem to get into it, but I guess after a few more listens I'll grow into it. Granted, I was one of those people who was expecting something like You Forgot It In People, so ending up with an album that sounds NOTHING like it was a big.. shock. It's not bad though, just.. unexpected. This is sort of a weird turn of events for me. Oh well.

I like the cd alot, every time I listen to it though, I have this feeling that some of the songs they're trying to hard, and maybe if they had used a little bit more control, it would of been better, but I guess that's sort of the charm, my favorite songs on it are Fire Eye'd Boy, Bandwitch, and It's All Gona Break

it doesn't have any individual songs that beat the best tracks on You Forgot

but as an album, it's better

I'm unsure about it so far. It seems good, but it doesn't seem to have the same kind of variety that made You Forgot It In People good. On it's own, it's not a bad album at all. It just seems like they have taken a few elements from YFIIP and ran with them.

I'm not an emotional person by any stretch of the imagination, but I cried a little the first time I heard "anthems for a 17 year old girl". While the new album is good, It didn't have anything on it that affected me nearly so strongly.

Is the whole album as noisy, wall-of-sound style as that one track I keep hearing on the radio? (I forgot what it's called, but I think you'll figure it out)

Ibi Dreams of Pavement? Yes, it pretty much is. But each time you listen to it the whole "wall of noise" breaks down a little bit and you find that it's not just noise but wonderful little instruments playing along. I've listened to it two or three dozen times and each time I play it, I still hear stuff that I completly missed before.

That's the track.

Unfortunately that doesn't help me. I find that if I'm listening to something that I've listened to many times and find something new, that's one of the best feelings there is. But at the same time I haven't been in the mood for actively listening to something for a while now. hmm...

I have an idea: Are there any violins? I'm a sucker for violins.

I think there are some in Fire Eye'd Boy and Major Label Debut, but I'm not sure about those or any others.

I've only listened to it through maybe twice, but nothing grabbed me like You Forgot It In People did.

I'm listening to "Inward Singing" and I forgot how angry Jack Black is on that track.

Anyways, Broken Social Scene I don't think is as good as YFIIP; it's good, certainly, but it just seems to lack some of the older one's pop magic. Although, guest spot by K-Os is a plus.

Nurr!  I don't like them any more now that they've gotten past the first album!  Geez, I'd have been really disappointed if they just made another YFIIP.  Personally, the mish-mash of different styles frustrated me on their first album, so I liked this one a lot more for it's more cohesive sound and theme.
