im not talking about weird stuff that you found in the underground but what songs get you dancing that would surprise you.
for me almost anything by modest mouse, in fact everything by modest mouse. and got the life by korn.
-
It's my opinion that something such as this should be placed in the music forum. Other than that i have nothing else to say on the matter.
-
I've found that the final boss music from Mega Man 2 has always gotten me psyched up for when I need to kick some ass or something.
-
#1: moving this to the music forum
#2: tha_nut and unosuke, please resize/replace your avatars to be at most 120px wide, you are breaking the layout of the thread.

Europe - The Final Countdown.
Gob really made me feel it.
-
The Mad Capsule Markets - Island and (Pulse)
Pavement - Stereo
-
Ween - Push them little daisies or Voodoo Lady
Which when I think about it, is completely plausible.
-
Basically anything by Meat Beat Manifesto, especially Prime Audio Soup.
-
Europe - The Final Countdown.
Gob really made me feel it.
Everytime I hear that song I piss myself laughing (more so).
-
Um...Not so surprising, but anything by Duran Duran. I'll take "Rio" and "Hungry Like the Wolf" over any type of drugs anyday.
-
"Lord of the Dance" by Scottish folk duo The Corries always gets me moving, for some reason. And also "Wha Wadna Fecht For Charlie?" by the same people. There's nothing like fast-paced bodhran drumming to get the blood flowing.
-
Since a large amount of my favourite bands feature traditional rhythms and lots of balalaikas, bagpipes and bazoukis, I would have to agree with you there. Although for me that probably, resultantly, wouldn't be unusual.
-
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
And before the flaming comes down like a plague, yes, they werevery overrated.
-
"Kick Some Ass" by Stroke 9.
This is the song that is played at the end of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back where they just go to people's houses beating up kids.
That song really does make you want to go out and pick a fight with the first person you see.

Agree'd. Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes also gets me going.
-
i like teenage enema nurses in bondage
-
Anything by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, but that's obvious.
Overseer - Supermoves. Ishkur's Elecronic Dance Music guide (holy sweet jesus, best use of flash ever) says it reminds him of giant robots crushing everything and making way for a new world order, and wouldn't you know he's right.
Mirwais - Disco Science. Especially with a good subwoofer.
Remix by AFX (off of aphex twin's "26 Mixes For Cash"). Get up and move...this is the shit. I can't sit still with this song playing.
-
Lately I've been unable to sit still while listening to Tout va bien by Les Sans culottes.. I love that song...
Also, anything by the faint.

That album is (as the name kinda suggests) a collection of remixes Aphex Twin has done, presumably in return for cash. Thus, every song on the album is a "Remix by AFX", but none of them are actually called that. As far as I know.
The chances are you're refering to either Seefeel - Time To Find Me (AFX Fast Mix), 808 State - Flow Coma (AFX Remix) or Baby Ford - Normal (Helston Flora Remix By AFX), because they're the ones that are actually credited to AFX, rather than Aphex Twin. More specifically, It's probably 808 State - Flow Coma (AFX Remix), because it's dance-tastic. If this is the case, then yeah. I get the freak on too.
Also, Mob Nation - Got Numb which coincidentally, comes right after that Aphex Twin track on the Amon Tobin Solid Steel Mix CD. It's a goddamn banger, and has never been released. Curses.
-
Speaking of 808 State...
the first 5 tracks of "Gorgeous".
(rest of the album is such a letdown after that, although the next 5 tracks are OK... but damn, if it had been an EP, it'd be right up on my top 10 of all time.)
-
It would be an odd song if it weren't so popular:
Harder Better Faster Stronger - Daft Punk
-
Anything by 'Girl's Aloud'
I love that band.
Fuck you!
-
Not so weird, but still: Every Cherry Poppin' Daddies song ever. EVER.
Also, I have skanked to Belle & Sebastian a couple of times. It sort of works.
-
TISM - (He'll Never Be An) Ol' Man River
"Where will I get my next celeb drug action?
Odds on it'll be Michael Jackson!"

TISM FTW!
-
"Ride the White Horse" by Laid Back. It's...odd, but very danceable and synth-y.
-
Lightning Bolt - Two Towers!
God this song is fucking amazing.
-
I never managed to find any songs by TISM other than 'Everyone Else Has Had More Sex Than Me'.
I have no idea how to get music. Dutch record stores are fucking terrible, and there are no indie record stores I know of. I pretty much rely on my friends to gimme stuff.

Fuck, yes! Also, Assassins and Dracula Mountain too.
Also:
Sido - Fuffies Im Club. Like, totally. Or not.
