Jason say's he's quiting Niego.  Ive been reading it ever sence Jeph post about it in it's begining.

"The subject of this email rings true. This something I'm gonna hold off
mentioning on the site until Wednesday, but I'll tell you guys now
since you's my mailing list and you's got my back.

Niego's in it's last few weeks.

I know, I know. This is sudden. But not for me. Honestly? I'm just
insanely bored with Niego, and have been for a while. That's the main
excuse for the sparse updates lately. I guess I have creative ADD.

So I need some time away to learn to enjoy drawing again. Then, after a
few months? I dunno. Maybe I'll come back and reboot Niego. Maybe I'll
start one the many half-baked projects I've been developing mentally.
Maybe I'll start doing the journal comic more regularly. Maybe I'll
just keep my distance from comic creating and direct my attention
towards those short films Seth and I want to make. Who knows? Not me.

One way or the other, you gotta trust that ending Niego is the thing to
do right now. Otherwise, its just going to start going (more) downhill
and I'm going to end up a bitter hermit who cries whenever you show him
a mechanical pencil. I didn't come to the decision lightly.

But, like I said, we still got a few more weeks and tonight's comic
kicks off the last arc. Hope you enjoy it!"

Well that kinda sucks. I guess its for the best though. Its always better to put the thing out of its misery than to drag along your readers until you stop without warning and they are left checking back for months afterwards in the vain hope that you will update like so many other webcomics.

today i caught myself clicking my link for it in my comics bookmark, only to remember that it will never be updated.

I didnt read Niego till Jeph mentioned it has finished. Read the first few then came back next day and read them all. (Not in one go)

I read the whole archive in a single sitting, when Jeph told us that it was finishing. And I have to say that I'm glad that Sigala has decided to end it on a high note. A lot of comics like to drag on, and tend to get less funny over time, I kinda felt that Niego was getting a bit flat towards the end, and i think it was a good choice.

I would have preferred a better swan song though, something awesome, like a hollywood blockbuster, it could be the Kong of Webcomics.
