Good folk singer. Really wierd. Anyone else into him? I have the cd Cripple Crow. I don't know if he put out anything else but if you have it, send it my way? <3?

You misspelled his name, it's Devendra Banhart mate :)

Anyway I like him, I have only heard Rejoicing in the Hands of the Golden Empress but it's very good. Which is why the critics went bonkers over it I imagine. Beyond that one he has released Black Babies...(etc.) and Niņo Rojo, as well as being guest on several albums, Vetiver-Vetiver and CocoRosie-Noah's Ark among others.

I think that some of his songs are really awesome, but most of them are ruined by his forced warbling.

I've only heard I Feel Just Like A Child. It was intensely annoying, his vocals are unfuriating and it barely went anywhere.

Oh Me Oh My was really delightfully eerie, and Rejoicing in the Hands was likewise pleasant. I liked both of those. Cripple Crow went in a more standard-folk direction but is still quite well done - it's just that all my favorite songs occur right at the beginning.
