Title: Workstation Graphics Card - HELP!!!
Post by: FaultyGluestick on 04 Jan 2006, 10:26
I'm planning to build a new workstation pc and what I'm really stuck on is which graphics card to get.  I'm definitely steering away from a gaming card, meaning no Geforce.  Right now, I'm looking at a 3d Labs Wildcat VP 880 Pro because it's relatively cheap for a 256MB CG card compared to a $1000+ Nvidia quadros.  I'm wondering if there are people here who are experienced and know their hardware and if they could suggest a money saving card that would be good for a workstation (perhaps around $300-400 CDN).  I'm not professional or anything but I want to start early and pursue this as a career.

Thanks

Try searching online at one of the many graphics websites... they should have recommended hardware specs or something useful.

If you were talking about Macs 3 years ago I could help you...
