Oh-kay, now that I've reached 1,500 posts, I miss McLusky. But this is not true. I do not listen to them. But I promised myself I would start when I got to 1,500. So. Where do I start?

Thanks to Johnny C's mix-tape, I have now started to check out the Fiery Furnaces and the Go! Team.
-
Thanks to Indietorrents, I am finally getting to check out more by Dressy Bessy and Troubled Hubble. I'm also planning to pick up some Queensryche sometime this year, but apart from that, I'm pretty much an open book.
I still haven't heard CYHSY, and there seems to be a lot of positive feedback about it, so I imagine next time I do a round of imports from Amazon, it'll be on the list.

For McLusky, you start at McLusky Do Dallas.
As for me, I'm gonna see what's 'going down' then decide what to check out sometime later this year. I'm pretty happy with my musics at the moment.
-
i just last week finally got a copy of the first single frame album (wetheads come running). i'd been on and off looking for it for about two years. i'm not yet sure it was worth the effort...
-
I just recently discovered That Dog, so Retreate From The Sun is on my list as well as The Stands, so Horse Fabulous is a must buy this year. I'm going to really take a chance on music that my friends suggest this year.

Exodus is my favorite thrash band except Testament.
Oh, and for starters with Iced Earth, get Days of Purgatory if you can find it. It's a 2 disc set with rerecordings of all of the best songs from their first 3 albums with much, much better sound quality.
-
Thanks. I've since set up DC++ and have gotten a little chunk of this done with; I downloaded Candlemass' Self titled, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed's Altered States of America. Yeah, much easier to find the more obscure things.
-
BLARGH!
holy shit!
Bands I need to start getting stuff for/need to get more stuff for:
Widow. Widow is an American heavy metal band, but they're so obscure that even if you're from the US, you need to import their CDs! I thought that was very funny.
Divercia
Paradise Lost
Celesty
Sinergy
Therion (Everything pre-Vovin)
Epica
Sentenced
Shadowdance
Nightmare
Absolute Steel
Script of Flood
Samael
To/Die/For
Agonizer
Nevermore
Magica
Tiamat
Cryonic Temple
Finntroll
Axenstar
Ayreon
Tristania

I can get you most (if not all, not sure if I have all of them) Finntroll albums. I'll pm you or something tomorrow. too sleepy now.
-

Not that uncommon. All of Skyclad's stuff is actually pressed in Germany, and they hardly ever tour their native UK simply through the lack of a fanbase.
Kai: I have the entire discographies, or at least a lot of albums, of the following:
Bal Sagoth
Sol Ivictus
Sabbat
Acid Bath
Amorphis
Ancient Rites
Burzum
Candlemass
Dissection
Emperor
Entombed
Mayhem
Moonspell
Paradise Lost

Three Inches of Blood
Tom Waits
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Korpiklaani
Danzig
Bol Thrower
Type O Negative
Slayer
Skyclad
Napalm Death
Ministry
And I've got one to three albums by a LOT of the others. If you've got DC, what we should do at some point is meet up on a hub and exchange file-lists, then er, discuss Neitzsche.
And by discuss Neitzsche, I mean perform enough illegal filesharing to make an RIAA exec explode.
-
This is my list. Asterisks denote a desire to delve beyond the basic level of interest demonstrated by my posession of an album or two or three.

That'd be awesome. I don't have a hub that I hang around in yet, so wherever you want to meet up.

Mclusky Do Dallas!
-
I need to stop messing about and buy more Grime.
Skepta, Wonder, Jammer, Wiley, Slew Dem, Ruff Sqwad, Crazy Titch, everyone really.
I just love the fact that listening to Grime and Dubstep gets me excited like a kid at Christmas. I can't get enough.
-

What can I say; I'm dynamic.
Also, I'm thirding (or whatever) the answer to the original post. McLusky Do Dallas.
