Title: DivX to DVD
Post by: catflea on 10 Jan 2006, 15:36
any idea of any software out there that I can use to burn MPEGs with DivX encoding to DVDS so I can play them in standard DVD players?

Checkout the guides on Doom9. I hope you have a fast computer though, cause any type of encoding is a bitch.

Alternatively, Nero does this as well if you have the right version. My oem version doesn't though, so you'll have to check.

Doom9's guides are certainly the place to start looking. Using CCE (Cinema Craft Encoder) for encoding is definitely recommended, it gives the best results and is plenty fast. And finally... AFAIK, MPEG files can't contain DivX content -- you're probably talking about AVIs, right?

if mpegs can't hold DivX content then what the heck have I been watching???

and the fast computer thing isn't an issue.  I use this thing for 3ds max video rendering - now that IS a bitch
