Title: What would you suggest?

allright, so I'm new to QC.   I spent a couple days catching up on the comics, and the only thing I can never follow is when they talk music.   I listen quite a bit to wilco and the jayhawks, but other than that I don't have that much to listen to.

I was hoping some of you could help point me in the right direction.   Is there any bands that you think I should listen to?   I'm pretty open to most genre's.

Listen to Testament.

They are absolutely nothing like Wilco. But that is irrelevant.

Dearhoof. They're just like Wilco except they play noisy spaz rock not Alt-Country and have a little Japenese lady instead of Jeff Tweedy.


Seriously, I would check out Jeph's recomended list- it pretty much includes all the artists he jokes about regularly.

I'm bored of doing this. There are some other threads around the music forum where people have asked for suggestions, and I think you'll probably get most of the same ones. Check those out.

I guess I just might as well whore Under Byen (http://www.underbyen.dk) again again :)

And if you like country you should check out Neko Case, Bonnie 'prince' Billy(aliases include Palace, Palace Music etc.), Wynona(I can help you get some of it, since it's danish) and of course Johnny Cash.
