Oh man, I just found this site and it's amazing.  One of the best web comics I've read in a VERY long time.  Probably because I'm a music junky; and being so, I have a favour to ask of anyone who cal help me.

has anyone ever been to http://thecellar.afraid.org:9000

its a private torrent listing of indie music for those who don't know.  its invite only and I would loooove to be a part of it.  It would help me oh so much in enjoying all the musical jokes in the comic (at the moment I only get 70% - 80% of the jokes relating to music, seeing as I was emo for most my teenage life).  ANYONE that can help me I would love you forever and be your best friend for life!!!

I'd recommend oink and indietorrents for just about everything.

What's the cellar got?

well, it won't let me download the poster children because I'm not a member.  they have a good mix of emo and indie. I can't actually take a look at their WHOLE list but it's in my experience that private torrent trackers are usually way better (plus if they have a forum you can request stuff!)

but I'll try those other sites out too

and for the record, I didn't TOTALLY jump cliques...I actually found this website JUST before the comic (I'd say a half hour before) when looking for a rilo kiley discography.  I know my emo, and I love my indie, I just have a harder time finding artists of the latter persuasion.

I might have used said torrent in the past but my account might have been deactivated for my coefficient being too low. It's possible that it is an extremely difficult place to maintain a good ratio. Since when do you need an invite for there?

No it's not. It totally isn't. When you're a member and an invite is required, people suddenly start caring more about their ratios. They want to share more, they DO share more, and it's easier to get music and keep a network going where no one leeches and everyone seeds. It's awesome.

The problem is when there's so few people you either need to have something noone else has, or be among the very first to leech something so that there'll be someone left to seed it for.
