Where did you find that info? Good stuff, but I hadn't seen they were coming anywhere near SF.
-
T'was up on Pitchfork today, and I imagine it's on their website as well.
-
Well, they were always going to Coachella, and I was gonna see em there, but I wanted more Mogwai! I wanted mogwai ALL over my face, damnit.
-
Oh man, I was randomly looking at who was playing at webster hall in the city and all of a sudden I saw Mogwai was playing. I immediately purchased tickets, *JOY*.

Being from Australia means that I have never seen Mogwai live. And by the looks of it, this tour will be no different... I was just wondering if they are really as awesome live as Jeph says... They are an awesome band, but I have always found them to be more mellow than Jeph's description makes them out to be.. (_this is going from what I have heard on their albums).
-
Being from Scotland means that I have seen them three times, and they are the LOUDEST live band in the world... or at least that I know of. As Jeph put it...
"Mogwai are a live experience akin to standing behind a jet engine while listening to Black Sabbath turned up as loud as possible in your iPod."
I'd have said Slayer, but that's pretty much it.
-
Their website doesn't list those dates; at least not yet.
However, I'll be at the Phoenix in Toronto to see them. Time to see if tickets are available. :)

Yeah, they are incredibly loud and incredibly awesome. Saw them a few weeks ago in Chicago, probably will see them again in May.

Dude. Manowar techincally hold the record for the loudest band in the world, followed closely by Motorhead. (one of Manowar's concerts was recorded at about 129.5 decibels).
And Black Sabbath aren't all that loud either.
-
Cologne? Motherfucker. Why can't anybody ever come to the Frankfurt area when they play Germany? That's another 400km I have to drive...
-
Durr. I'd fly down to Boston to see them if they weren't coming here. Then I'd harass Jeph.

PM me when you know the goods. I will be VERY upset if I can't get a hold of those tickets!

Apparently they hit Philly 5/11 (if the local booking agency is to be believed). I've never really listened to Mogwai, but the hype is tempting me. Should I get tickets now?
