Not sure if anyone here was a die hard Master of Orion fan. But if you liked that series of games you will like Warring factions.
Thousands of systems and 10's of thousands of worlds to explore and expand into.
The game is a free webrowser system with pay accounts if you want a few extra appearance changes. But the functionality remains the same.
It has an open ended research system with nearly limitless possibilities.
Yes this is a shameless plug of my favorite online game.
