Title: just bought a new Wacom, I could use some pointers
Post by: Silly Bob's new groove on 31 May 2006, 22:09
As you can see I'm using MS Paint because I haven't gotten other stuff installed yet, but this is the first drawing I've done with it, I need pointers from people who have a experience with it, for instance is there a method or is it just sort of a get used to it and you'll get better kind of thing?

Everyone is uncomfortable with it at first.  Practice inking line art or something and eventually it'll become comfortable for you.  It's not much more complicated than that.

Some people like to tape paper over the surface of the tablet to give it more traction, though.  Experiment and see what's most comfortable for you.

And congratulations.  They're very very useful things.
