Title: GBV albums
Post by: space_oddity on 21 Aug 2006, 14:57
Which is your favorite?
These days, I'm liking Alien Lanes the more I listen to it. 'My Valuable Hunting Knife' is both cute and enduring, 'A Salty Salute' is a terrific opener, and 'Watch Me Jumpstart' is my favorite song of theirs.
It's still hard to pick anything over Bee Thousand, though, and Under The Bushes Under The Stars has an interesting somber and mature tone absent in the band's more frenzied works.

I just bought the Hardcore UFOs box set, which has the best-of, a disc of unreleased stuff, a disc of rarities and compilation tracks, a live disc and a DVD. I'm picking it up today!

Also Alien Lanes is probably my favourite albummm.

I thought Guided By Voices obsessives always shortened their name to 'Geeb'.

I try to avoid the traditional obsessive patterns as best I can.

I don't really know this band, but... Geeb?

This isn't something I usually admit, but I like Isolation Drills the best.  I am by no means a GBV obsessive, though.

Alien Lanes
Under the Bushes under the Stars
Bee Thousand

Maybe because Bee Thousand has been overplayed throughout the years, but who knows.
