Does anyone know if Modest Mouse are playing any sideshows? I know they are also playing South West but WA is a long way from where I am.

I can't begin to tell you how much I want to go to this. Not entirely because of the music (although that's certainly a part) - it just looks like such an incredible atmosphere.

Unfortunately I missed tickets and they're now going for several hundred bucks on eBay. Bummer.

By all accounts, this was absolutely off the chain. Really, really wish I'd gone along.

What I find amusing is that many of the stories I've heard from friends who attended start off on the music, but quickly progress to drug-addled debauchery.

"So I was watching Basement Jaxx, and they put on an awesome show, and then my first pill kicked in..."

"I'd been looking forward to Modest Mouse, but they turned out to be kinda boring and not into it at all. So I took three tabs of acid..."

"Oh my god, the Mountain Goats were incredible. Just one guy and a bassist, but fuck they put out a racket. By the way, did I tell you how some guys from the Netherlands came along and complimented us on our incredible weed..."
