Title: "How I Met Your Mother"
Post by: Bearer on 09 Oct 2006, 18:41: Must say, one of the funniest shows I've seen in a while. If You don't know, it's a romantic comedy set in New York that follows Ted Mosby as he tells his future kids (year 20something) the story of how he met their mother. I pretty terrible at synopsising, so here's the show's url: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/how_i_met_your_mother/. It's currently on season 3, so I recomend bittorrenting it if you can.

What really strikes me about it though is the music they use So far I've heard songs by Bloc Party ("This Modern Love") and The Decemberists ("Here I Drempt I was an Architect") to name a few. There are also occasional indie band references in some episodes.

Personally, I find it an awesome show, and the humor (and subsequent drama) is very QC-like if I must say so, at least short one robot anyway...

Post by: jmrz on 10 Oct 2006, 07:24: I have only ever seen bits and pieces of it when eating dinner, so didn't really pick up on any of the music or anything. Maybe I should watch it a bit more...

Last week's episode started off kind of lame, but only because it finished with the most amazing thing ever.

Plus, I also enjoy the cameos by former Whedonites.

Man. Is it already on it's third season?

Great show though, i'm usually busy on mondays, but i try to catch it if i can.

Post by: Jayde_T. on 09 Dec 2006, 01:10: I've been watching this show since it started last year, which ended with a bang: Ted made it rain. I am VERY happy to see Marshall & Lily back together so quickly, that was kind of depressing to see them break up, but also very funny. Definitely looking forward to seeing the next one.

And I noticed the good songs on it too. I think that might be in part because the creators of the show are in a band themselves.
