Well, that's pretty cool. Beats being in Justin Timberlake's video by a margin (although I am all for the return of the overlong cinematic music video -- but that's another topic).

I knew she was doing the Tom Waits album, which terrifies me because I'm pretty sure it's going to be bad (how can a girl that pretty sing Tom fucking Waits songs??), but I didn't know about this. Maybe it's because I don't really care about the Jesus & Mary Chain even though I like My Bloody Valentine and the Velvet Underground, so logically I should. Oh well.

It's funny to think that the less hipster looking girl in 'Ghost World' is in reality much more hipster than Thora Birch. Still, I'd fuck Thora Birch so hard her kids would be born cross-eyed.

I've only heard one song of hers, a cover of the classic 'Summertime' on some compilation.  It wasn't very good.  When I heard she'd be doing some Waits covers, I thought "yeesh, that could be a trainwreck.  But it's interesting for sure.  At least it won't be carbon-copy dance pop like most actresses make."  But if JAMC have enough faith in her that they'll do a show with her, now my hopes are raised.

I wonder how active a role she'll play, there aren't too many JAMC with female backing vocals (although Just Like Honey is a great song).  We'll see what happens I guess.

I would love to hear them do 'Sometimes Always' though she's no Hope Sandoval to be sure.
