Title: SUPAR ART CHALLENGE: Numbah 3, stop complaining
Post by: Ally on 03 Jul 2007, 19:03: New theme is still-life.

You may groan and slap your forehead in disbelief, but this is your chance to show your compositional prowess and let your technical skill shine through.

Do something amazingly original with this theme.

This isn't called the art challenge for nothing.

Ends July 15th.

Note: I don't mean this to be discouraging - after this we will probably go back to the silly themes. This is also not meant to be a cop-out. I hope just as many people participate in this one as in the last one (hence the long deadline). I just think that this is a theme that allows for a lot of creativity. If you don't like it, wait for the next one, please.

Also, I had hoped that there would be some photographs in this one, so go Dan go!

*Ally, if you don't want to actually let this be a part of the 'challenge,' that's fine. Like I said, it is an old picture, but I can't really take any new ones. I just really like that picture and figured this thread would be a good place to show it!

I drew a picture of an iron! Irons are pretty exciting things! They make your clothes not crinkly.
I tried to scan it but it did not come out very well being that it is a pencil drawing. Then I took pictures with my digital camera and that did not work so good either but was better than the scan. Suffice to say that it is a bit blurry, a bit dark and a bit crooked, but you get the drift.
It is not the best still-life but I am trying, and I hope improving!
I am going to blame the lack of quality from the taking-photo-of-a-drawing thing ~~(but in reality its probably my lack of technical skill and composition!)~~ AND I AM STICKING WITH THAT
And now that I have talked a lot here is my submission:

When I was very young I was walking around in a field across the street from my house when I saw a stuffed bunny with its ears ripped off, laying right next to them. I brought it home and asked my mother to sew it up. This is the little story I thought up to explain it.

In the end I decided to leave it all sketchy because I thought it looked better that way.

Don't kill me for being ridiculously late. Harry Potter challenge is being cancelled due to a lack of interest (there were no entries which were created specifically for the challenge, which remember is part of the rules, although Will I loved your photo this time around). A new/different one will be up before I leave.
