??? Main Stage: My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Iron Maiden

I guess Iron Maiden and Slayer would be pretty cool to see, but I'm kind of excited at the prospect of seeing a bunch of indie pop (Wolf Parade in particular-they came through town right when their EP was getting a lot of notice, but before the album was released and I was too young to go) with a side order of Snoop Dogg.

I would go for The Shins, Minus the Bear, and Band of Horses. I just wish it was closer!

I'd go for The Shins and Band of Horses, but not much else.

I live nowhere near Chicago, anyway.

Band of Horses are sooooo goddamn boring live.I have coincidentally  seen them twice, and they were pitiful both times.

I would've gone for Wolf Parade alone.  I can't believe I missed it!

Wolf Parade played a lot of new songs! There was one called Fine Young Cannibals that will probably get renamed that was especially good. They were a bit more dancy but still real heavy on the kind-of-tribal-sounding drums. Dan gave my friend a fucking sweet shirt that was actually ladies so it is MINE. It says "cold chillin'".

I didn't think Band of Horses were boring, but they were being taped so they probably put a little more effort into it than usual. Didn't they lose a few original band members for a while?

Snoop ruled, but that is maybe because I <3 hip hop shows the best because it is totally cool to dance. Dancing is much more acceptable at hip hop shows than pop shows.
