Hi guys, it's kinda odd to start a thread for this but I have a rather simple question I need help with. Does anyone know of a kid's toy of a robot with a screen and microphone? It looks something like this:

I know I've seen one before but I have no idea what it's called. I need to find it for a project I'm working on.
-
I was hoping this was going to be some lost robot pet plea.
-
I can't see that image to see if it's at all related to what I'm talking about.
It was kinda like a Speak & Spell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speak_&_Spell_(game)), only it was, y'know, a robot.

Or this?

oo that isn't the one I'm thinking of, but that's very close. I might use that if I can't find the one I want, but I would prefer a robot with a face and the one I'm thinking of had a face.
-
What kind of project are you working on, anyway?
-
Child-rearing.
-
Child-fucking.
-
His best Tommy impression.
-
I wish I could say that's the first time we've implied that Tommy is a pedophile.
-
Don't worry, even inanimate objects (http://www.johnlewis.com/jl_assets/product/230212541.jpg) do it.

Child-rearing.
That's actually kinda close. Long story short, I am planning to do an art installation of a robot that learns from it's environment.
ADDITION: The more I think about it the more I'm sure my sister had one back when we were kids. Not that that really helps any, but it does date the toy to the late 80s/early 90s.
ADDITION2: My sister just emailed me back and recognized it from a home movie shot one Christmas before we moved to Korea. So like really really little, before elementary school. That would be early to mid 80s.
I'm starting to think maybe I should use a modern toy that has a similar look, because something from that long ago will be pretty impossible to find.

Was it something from the Tomy (http://www.x-entertainment.com/messages/288.html) line of robots?
-
Dude there is one in Toy Story, isn't there? Or am I crazy?

That's not what I'm thinking of, but the Verboot would be excellent for what I have in mind. Thanks!
Incidentally, the first line about Omnibot made me lol.

omg you're right, how did I not think of that? I don't know if that is good or bad news.
It's the Playskool karaoke thing; like pen's, not quite the same but very very close.
-
Or maybe I am confusing it with one of these (http://www.littlelostrobot.com/images/white_robot.jpg)?
Edit: Oh ok cool I think.

Its new but it sounds like gold
Also perhaps it is in one of these shots? Just to at least identify what you wanted.

As perfect as that robot would be for what I'm doing (it's purpose as a personal assistant for the elderly plays into what I'm doing,) it's waaaaaaay out of my price range. Especially considering I'm just going to rip out the guts, so it's not like I need any of the sophisticated functionality.
That said, buried in the comments on that page is a link to this:

That's the one I'm thinking of! Of course, now that I see it clearly, I'm thinking I'll go with the Tomy Verboot mentioned above.
ADDITION: Incidentally, read the comments of the article lordnagash linked. It's like the Picture Thread never left!

Those are not the droids he is looking for.
[edit]Now I feel dirty
-
I totally used to have a Verbot! I kind of want to buy one and relive my childhood now.
-
You should use the nintendo videogame playing robot. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Something_Witty/nintendo-rob.jpg)
-
We have that nintendo playing robot at work. He holds business card.
-
That card in that robot doesn't make sense at all, does it?
edit: Not the business card, the one in joe's link.
edt #2 Shit, it does.
