Post by: BillyxRansom on 15 Feb 2008, 10:45
who thinks jeph should do this? i think it could prove to be pretty funny. especially if a user on this board was mentioned.

BUT IT WOULD BE CREEPY IF I WAS MENTIONED AS A RESULT OF THIS THREAD.

So, after the kiss, Faye should say "That ought to get them going."?

I think too many people would internalize that as "them" being Dora and Marten..

Though, it would make a wondeful in joke to us QCBoardies.

It will never happen. I hate it when comics break the fourth wall.

Despite my previous comments (here and in other threads), I'm reassured by this. Some comics, like Order of The Stick, do it really well (except in OOTS, the characters don't really address the audience so much as display awareness of their nature and the world beyond the strip) but for the QC characters to start looking out at the camera it would seem wrong, like actors on TV or films fluffing their lines.

Personally I think it's tacky, it would be like if someone in the real world suddenly looked up at the sky and non-ironically said "I bet you found that funny" or whatever. QC is realistic character-wise, even if it does have little robots running around everywhere, and people don't think about their audiences when they're going about their everyday life.
