Also, anything Daft Punk ever did is probably fair game.Oh, and if you play Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, and someone says Kanye West wrote it, you are perfectly within your rights to hurt them. Seriously, it is a law somewhere.
The B52s - The B52s -- If you are interested in New Wave or surf music, this straddles the two quite nicely. One of the finest records ever made and thoroughly danceable.
TV On the Radio and Crystal Castles are pretty (http://www.box.net/shared/jyrdzt7cck) neat (http://www.box.net/shared/avnkemk8ww).
PS - Make sure you don't get 2D2F (http://www.box.net/shared/dn6zk2p348)
aw shit Crystal Castles! how did i forget them?
and also, since we're apparently going there, Kavinsky.
I believe that is a given,
JUST ABOUT ANY THING FROM DFA, DFA 1979 AND LET'S MAKE LOVE - CSS
Man, it's weird, I had never heard about Crystal Castles before last Monday and now they are all about the shop. Also, I'd say they're about to hit the big time in the UK. They were on Skins.
Cadence Weapon has both Breaking Kayfabe and Afterparty Babies, the latter of which has most likely been released by now. Honestly, Rollie Pemberton's got some of the best stuff in hip-hop right now. It's better than even Clipse or Subtle by a country mile.yessss
I had a party stop once because I had Black History Month sandwiched between Alive 2007 and Ratatat Remixes II. It was freaky to watch 20 people all dancing around on chairs, the couch, etc. in my apartment, all simultaneously stop and bitch about the music. Then Remixes II came on and all was good again. My advice is skip DFA 1979 if girls who are not into drum and bass are involved.

Ok here is the list so far:
Around the World / Harder Better Faster Stronger - Daft Punk
I've had the whole 'killing a dancefloor' experience with DFA 1979. Watching a full dancefloor stop moving entirely is pretty demoralising...It wasn't until I slipped in Blood Brothers that half of them actually left, though..

I might come to your parties if there is booze and no one under 19.
yes, but it's also 100% awesome.
which equates to about 156% danceability, if my math is correct.
I don't have any other Daft Punk stuff so I'm kind of stuck there.
I just realized there is no Ratatat on this list.
Get some Ratatat one there too. The song "Seventeen Years" should serve you well. It's on their s/t.
:) Please do! Alas, I've been banned from the CD player at my own house parties, so have had to resort to setting up my own club nights in which to play songs that are good - the upside is, all people present are over 18 and spannered on cheap booze...My housemate wanted me to submit my playlist to her to make sure that it was acceptable to everyone and there was no crazy stuff. GRR. At least one of my other housemates is adventurous music-wise. Also, the Kooks are the worst band I have ever heard. No word of a lie, I would much rather listen to Complete than the Kooks. They're more talented.
The downside is, they keep asking for the sodding Kooks. Morons. No-one can dance to some over-played, under-talented dickwads singing about their Brit-school educated, talent deficient girlfriends in a mockney accent with tunes pillaged from artists who were, at best, mediocre in their time.

There may not have been proper Ratatat, but there were quite a sufficient amount of Ratatat remixes. And as well all know, Ratatat plus anything else equals awesome squared.
Sure "Frontier Psychiatrist" is great, but do you really want to tango?
Speaking of awesomely danceable songs, thank you for that mix E. How many volumes are you planning on making because I'm greedy for more of what you have to share. The rave I DJed was a success, and I used a good amount of songs from your mix. The thing went from
8:00 to 1:00 in the morning.

I just discovered Brickhouse 2003 by Rob Zombie and I can't stop listening to it.
awesome mixes
yes to Seventeen Years by Ratatat.
also, I am worried this might be one of your overplayed songs, but seriously, I would never get bored of hearing Flux (JFK Remix) by Bloc Party at a party...

Goddamn, it is is now my mission to become famous so i can drop this.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that there's a reason why nobody in the USA would pick that up to play. And that's what makes you a snob.
I'm sort of surprised noone has said Sex Bomb yet.
