My old AP Music Theory instructor used to spend every March 15th talking about Caesar.

He also brought us pie on pi day, which happens to be the day before the Ides of March. The most wonderful thing is that neither of these days have anything at all to do with the subject of music theory.

Everyone in my latin class has to wear all black with a latin saying taped on his or her chest.
Since it's saturday, and she (our teacher) can't check if we have done it, we're doing it monday  :-P

Monday I'm meeting parents ... so I expect to have another mother hating me by the end of the week.

What is it with boys and their mothers?

I dunno. My mom thinks I'm both gay and a complete failure at life.

We did this in my music theory and comp class, too. Everyone would bring in pie and we watched Amadeus. (We had block scheduling, so we had two days of this.) It was awesome.

being were? (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,11515.0.html)

I maintain that this thread was both the high and low point of this forum's existence.

Just yesterday I was talking with a college friend of my fiancee's about how the sidewalks around our school used to be covered with a long string of digits on Pi Day. People don't believe us when we try to explain how nerdy Carnegie Mellon is.

Is it there that they make the Comp-Sci majors take a social skills class for credit?

Pi day = pecan pie in the shape of Pi = very good day
Ides of March = hiking in the rain and then chinese take out and cowboy bebop = very good day
March = success thus far!

Pi Day = spent rehearsing = fun
Ides of March = spent playing a 45-minute set and then getting spectacularly drunk
St. Me Day = didn't wear green and nobody pinched me because I did not go out except to go to the store.

I do know, however, that the girl at the store was wearing a bit of green. Because there was a bit of green in the embroidery on the back pockets of her jeans. I was supremely disappointed that it meant that her ass was unpinchable though.

I am oh so tempted to resurrect that were thread just to be a dick.

I thought I wasn't wearing any green today, but then I realized that I have a green jacket on, didn't even notice. Didn't go outside today though, so it doesn't matter.

Pi day was me scrambling to get ready to go up into the mountains, heading up there, and not really doing anything once up there.
The Ides of march were spent tubing and preparing to play live for the first time, and then fucking up horrendously in front of 60-90 people.
St. Guy-with-avatar-with-cool-glasses day was spent by sleeping for about 13 hours (mmm, spring break), talking to a friend on the phone for a couple hours, and then playing CoD4 four a few hours straight. Good day.
