Ok, I love Qc, and Kawaiinot.com and multiplex is good, I also like palindramas cuz I'm a word nerd. Are there any other good WebComs out there? :?
-
Try Jerkcity (http://jerkcity.com).
-
Jeeeeez, do NOT try Jerk City!
There are a myriad of other comics out there on the web. Try some of them in Plug Ur Comics (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,13514.0.html) thread, as well as some of them on front comic page like Something Positive (...which used to be there, I swear), Sam and Fuzzy, or Xkcd. You can also use the search function for other reccomendation threads. You could also use someplace like Buzzcomix (http://www.buzzcomix.net/) to find good comics to read.
Others I personally like are Girls With Slingshots (http://www.girlswithslingshots.com), and Chugworth Academy (http://www.chugworthacademy.com) on the occasion.
-
This link page (http://questionablecontent.net/links.php) has a lot of good ones. Some others that I like that aren't on there are 8-bit Theater (http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=010302), Gunnerkrigg Court (http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=1), and xkcd (http://xkcd.com/1/).
I've found almost every webcomic I currently read by going through the link pages of other comics that I enjoy. It's a good way to find comics that have similar/complimentary senses of humor to what you already like!
-
Try SGR (http://www.scarygoround.com). It gives me giggle fests and is becoming one of my favorites. Sinfest (http://www.sinfest.net) is another one I read on a daily basis.
-
MegaTokyo (http://www.megatokyo.com)?
I know I enjoy it.
-
Read Octopus Pie (http://www.octopuspie.com), read Nedroid's (http://www.nedroid.com) comics.
Also come on nobody says "WebComs" (the more widely accepted abbreviation is "Webcs").
-
I like calling them w'bcm'x. Gives it a nice Lovecraftian bent.
-
W (http://www.catandgirl.com)E (http://www.south20th.com)H (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com)
W (http://www.kukuburi.com)E (http://www.kiwisbybeat.com)A (http://www.overcompensating.com)H (http://www.giantitp.com)

I read too many webcomics (every letter is a link).

Dinosaur Comics! www.qwantz.com
Kate Beaton's Irregularly updated historical figures comics! http://katebeaton.com/Site/Welcome.html
Diesel Sweeties! dieselsweeties.com
-
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (http://www.smbc-comics.com)
Pictures for Sad Children (http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com)
AppleGeeks (http://www.applegeeks.com)
I can't seem to remember any more.
-
Dr McNinja makes me laugh more reliably than any other webcomic but you have to be a bit cracked to really enjoy it, Scary Go Round is collossal as well, but don't expect quite so many laughs. These ones are on most lists but I find it difficult not to recommend them with all my heart.
-
A Softer World (http://www.asofterworld.com/)
-
I like the following:
Turnsignals on a Landraider (http://tsoalr.com/) - especially if you play either WFB or 40K
Girl Genius (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php) - compelling storyline and awesome art
Something Positive (http://www.somethingpositive.net/) - damned funny
Schlock Mercenary (http://www.schlockmercenary.com/) - there is no such thing as humour overkill...
Order of the Stick (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0549.html) - for the geek in all of us
Brat-halla (http://brat-halla.com/) - The mighty Thor was a kid once, and these are his stories...
I started with TSOALR because I'm a gamer, but I quickly found the links to Questionable Content, and Schlock Mercenary on the links page and NEVER looked back.
-
Kate Beaton's Irregularly updated historical figures comics! http://katebeaton.com/Site/Welcome.html
If you even think of passing over this link I will send my goons after you. This is a bloody brilliant set of work here.
-
Loved the Plains of Abraham one.
-
Yeah, they're grand. I think I found those comics via a link on Joey Comeau (writer of A Softer World, which is also a good comic)'s live journal.
-
It's a fucking crime this thread got this far without a mention of Wondermark (http://www.wondermark.com).
-
Also, Have Some Hats (http://www.havesomehats.com)
The guy doesn't update anymore. So it goes.
-
That historical figure comic is hilarious. Thanks man!
Yeah, I love her stuff. The way she draws people, and facial expressions in particular, really cracks me up. Also her jokes are hella smart and funny.
Has Anders Loves Maria (http://anderslovesmaria.reneengstrom.com/) been mentioned yet? It's kind of like QC but Swedish and all the characters seem practically hellbent on ruining each other's lives. It's delicious.
Also, the madnesses of K.C. Green (http://www.rumblo.com/) are worth checking out.
-
Bear and Kitten (http://south20th.com/)!
-
For some reason that I can’t really fathom, I almost never really like comics that are titled with the "[Character 1] and [Character 2]" convention. Sam and Fuzzy is the only exception that I adore, and I’ll occasionally check out Cigarro and Cerveja but for the most part, they never hold my interest: Cat and Girl, Beaver and Steve, Able and Baker, Boy on a Stick and Slither, Joe and Monkey, etc.
I do like Anders Loves Maria, and will catch up on Girl vs. Pig when I remember.
-
Abel and Baker is pretty cool I think, though if you've got something against puns you won't like a lot of it. That said, I thought many of them were brilliant.
-
www.2kinds.com (http://www.2kinds.com) kinda a romantic comedy but with a twist
....just realized how cliche that sounded
-
May as well throw out http://www.jaynaylor.com/betterdays/. It's also pretty good for the most part, especially if you can get past the occasional awkward probably NSFW scene. It's not really explicit thankfully but he does apparently do such stuff on his site for micropayments.
-
checking out the 2kinds.com one, my yiff sensor is beeping ominously.
so far not all that cool
-
Yeah, I wasn't crazy over jerk city, but I loved girls with sling shots and I couldn't get chugworth to come up yet, Good suggestion from everyone though. Thanks!

HUAGLUGHUAHBLUHGBLUAHUAG
-
Well put, Cartilage Head
-
Man, what is with you people and this whole webcomic bullshit? Everyone knows all webcomics suck.
-
I have seen some passing references to it, but no one has actually recommended Achewood yet.
so I will.
read Achewood.
-
Really? There are people who have not yet read Achewood?
They have not even lived yet
-
One webcomic I used to read, it's over now, was Queen of Wands
http://www.queenofwands.net/ (http://www.queenofwands.net/)
But it was great while it lasted.
-
It's a fucking crime this thread got this far without a mention of Wondermark (http://www.wondermark.com).
This is the truth.
Also, someone posted this in the "Plug yr comic" thread and I really enjoy it.
http://cavcomics.com/pie/
-
Has anyone recommended Bee Power (http://www.comicswithoutviolence.com/d/20071201.html) yet?
Because I just happened on it yesterday and it is rather amazing
-
Man, what is with you people and this whole webcomic bullshit? Everyone knows all webcomics suck.
seriously guys.

i know a lot more but can't think off the top of my head..
-
Read Octopus Pie (http://www.octopuspie.com), read Nedroid's (http://www.nedroid.com) comics.
Also come on nobody says "WebComs" (the more widely accepted abbreviation is "Webcs").
Hm, I don't think that's what I meant to type, cuz I never heard of anyone calling em webcoms and I thought "( who's he talking too?" Then I realized what my theme post said. O Well. mere typo baby! (ok 2 identical typos, I must have been in another world that day)
-
Man, what is with you people and this whole webcomic bullshit? Everyone knows all webcomics suck.
so why are you on a webcomic site?
-
he is here for the sarcasm.
-
What is this word, sarcasm?
It is so foreign to me
-
it refers to the ancient canadian tradition of soaking bacon with tree sap.
plenty of diners around here are adept at dishing out the sarcasm.
[/derail] im going to put my seal of approval on Something Positive. its great and despite me reading it late into the night for the past few days, i am still 5 years behind the current post. hell of a good and big archive to sift through. the art is almost unchanged as of yet though.
-
Natalie Dee (http://www.nataliedee.com/index.php) - A thousand (and counting) one-panel comics that typically have no continuity or reason.
Updates daily, M-F
F@NB0Y$ (http://fanboys-online.com/) - Mostly video game references. I don't like it nearly as much now as I did last year, because he shifted from a cartoon style that fit the random humor of the comic to realism which is completely unsuitable for the writing. Just compare this one from January (http://fanboys-online.com/index.php?comic=259) to the most recent.
Updates Monday and Friday
Real Life Comics (http://www.reallifecomics.com/) - The everyday occurrences of a couple, retold as 4-panel comic strips. (This one's not for fans of art development; he draws it in Illustrator and hasn't changed much in several years.)
Updates daily, M-F
Geeks Next Door (http://www.geeksnextcomic.com/) - Not much to say about this one. It's good, but kind of generic.
Updates Monday, Wednesday, Friday
SuchRubbish.com (http://suchrubbish.com/) - There aren't many strips up at this time, but it's off to a good start.
Updates Wednesdays
xkcd (http://xkcd.com/) - It's xkcd. 'nuff said.
Updates Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Ctrl+Alt+Del (http://ctrlaltdel-online.com/) - I'm gonna get chastised for listing this one, but it's consistently updated, has its moments, and is the only webcomic I know of that updates on the weekend.
Updates Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
VG Cats (http://www.vgcats.com/) - Video game references... With CATS! How could you go wrong?
Updates Mondays Whenever.
The Joy of Tech (http://www.geekculture.com/joyoftech/) - Tech comics. Mostly Apple-related, but they also touch on technology in general.
Updates Monday, Wednesday, Friday
AWKWARD ZOMBIE (http://www.awkwardzombie.com/) - Another game-related comic. Lots of parodies.
Updates every so often
Dave's Dailies (http://umop.com/dailies_calendar.php) - NSFW Comics from Dave. that guy who makes those foul-mouthed baby animal cartoons on Newgrounds!
Updated Monday, Wednesday, Friday, but was put on hold when he started the next RAB cartoon and didn't pick up again after said cartoon was finished.
And in case you're bored of hand-picked lists, here you go:

For Nintendo geeks.

Please follow this fine and handcrafted link (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,11587.msg613481.html#msg613481) for further elucidation.

order of the stick
-
Some people are kind of dumb.
-
hell, i read Order of the stick, but i have never played D&D. closest i came to it, is when we picked random phrases from an old D&D book(we got from the free store), and used them as lyrics for our drunken jamming.
penny arcade is great, the old archived stuff is kind of lame though. much smarter than most.
Ctrlaltdel is pretty good too. really clean drawing style, some sort of story, and frequently has really hilarious stuff. not always though.
VGcats, probably the funniest of the "gamer" comics, nearly everyone is immensely funny, but the guy never NEVER updates.
Looking for Group is okay as well. some of the WOW referencing and plot stuff is super lame, but the one character Richard is sweet enough to read for. besides, fairly small archive, doesnt take long to catch up on.
XKCD is probably one of the funniest, smartest ones out there. dont expect to get all the jokes though.
obviously QC is awesome. period.
Dr McNinja, is one of my new favourites. twisted, hilarious, some plot, ridiculous scenarios, ninjas, its got everything.
and Something Positive. i just finished reading the archive. holy crap, took me like 8 times as long as the Q archive. really funny though. lots of great characters, decent drawing, offensive humour. some of the storylines are incredibly sad though.
plus the best ever small comedic sidekick! sorry pintsize, but you arent a cute boneless pink cat like choochoobear.
-
I am stunned that nobody has mentioned Cyanide and Happiness yet.
www.explosm.net (http://www.explosm.net)
Consistently the funniest thing on the internet. Also updated Daily.
-
Nobody Scores (http://nobodyscores.loosenutstudio.com/) what the HELL is wrong with you people
-
penny arcade is great, the old archived stuff is kind of lame though. much smarter than most.
WHAT IS THIS.
i dont know, i didnt find it interesting enough to merit reading through the whole archive. that being said, since it doesnt really have much storyline it didnt grab me as much
-
Man I can't believe no one here has mentioned The Perry Bible Fellowship (http://pbfcomics.com/). Easily my favorite comic along with QC and XKCD.
-
here's my comic's links page. some of them were already mentioned, but they're all good. Check out mine while you're at it if you like.

Dominic Deegan, Oracle for Hire. Not that great a quality art at first, but it swiftly improves, and delivers an entertaining and simultaneously intriguing plot once you get into the second or third arcs.

-
Oh HEX yes PBF. I love that!
-
Sam and Fuzzy - www.samandfuzzy.com
Penny and Aggie - www.pennyandaggie.com

Strip Tease - www.stripteasecomic.com
Scene Language - www.scenelanguage.com
Dinosaur Comics - www.qwantz.com
xkcd - www.xkcd.com
...wow, I think I need to seriously reevaluate my life. Because I've written those and am pretty sure I'm forgetting some...I read waaaay too many web comics.
-
I will never understand the enjoyment of dinosaur comics
-
Nahh, I'll bet you will someday.
-
I tried reading the archive but after like 200 of then, i got bored. ah well.
but seriously check mine out. http://www.myjazzbar.com (http://www.myjazzbar.com)

www.2kinds.com (http://www.2kinds.com) kinda a romantic comedy but with a twist
....just realized how cliche that sounded
Beautiful, I just finished the entire collection. Thanks for the suggestion.
As for my little addition to this forum: http://www.collectedcurios.com/sequentialart.php
(Too tired to code) It has animal people, crazy shadow creatures, and... insanity! Wheeeheeee!
-
penny arcade is great, the old archived stuff is kind of lame though. much smarter than most.
WHAT IS THIS.
THIS IS SPARTA!!!
-
No. No it's not.
-
more like this is madness AMIRITE?
-
XKCD and CADcomics are good
-
Chugworth Academy (http://www.chugworthacademy.com)
You are of low mind.
-
more like this is madness AMIRITE?
No, it is just fucking stupid. Come on guys, I thought we had ditched that super shitty movie meme ages ago.
Nope, theres no escape from stupid movie lines. Think about it: "I'll be back" still is in the air
-
well, that was a good line from a good movie, that makes sense in normal conversation. the exact oppostie of the 300 quote
-
That's what I said. :|
-
Unless you live in what used to be Sparta. Hmm?
I'm curious, though, are there any MegaTokyo-like comics out there?
...Blame the thread, it was there and I took advantage of its' already-made-ness.
-
come to think of it, I've never read Mega-Tokyo. wow. i must go and do so now. I'm off.
p.s. I'll let you know if there are any like it.
-
I had heard good things, and decided to go through all the strips. In one day. Then my brain imploded. Totally worth it, though.
-
eh, i dont much like megatokyo anymore. he takes so damn ridiculously long to do anything in the strip, and after reading the whole archive twice, i still sometimes mix the characters up. that said, it certainly has its moments, and the art tends to be really good, if a bit "busy". if he kept out the pointless side storys a bit more i would be much more into it.
recently i got into Misfile, http://www.misfile.com/, a really good slightly quasi anime styled drama/comedy strip, much like QC. basic premise is that a potheaded angel, screws up and turns one character into a girl, and removes a few years from another one, then is all about them trying to fix it , etc. and there is a lot of cars and stuff. give it a shot there is a large archive to go through.
secondly, LeastICouldDo, by the same guys who do Looking For Group(also good). check it out you wont be dissapointed. the drawing significantly improves over time.
-
The Adventures of Dr. McNinja (http://www.drmcninja.com)
Lonely Girl (http://www.lonelygirl.com)
Fanboys (http://www.fanboys-online.com)
-
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Sluggy Freelance (www.sluggy.com)...but I guess not that surprised. I used to read it regularly, but haven't for a few years now. It's worth checking out the archives though!
Otherwise I read:
QC
Something Positive
Multiplex
Dominic Deegan
Oh...The Parking Lot Is Full is a good one. No longer updated, but it has a big archive. It's kind of like "Farside"
-

I love you for introducing me to this. Now I must wait for 12 comic update fixes.... I love and hate you at the same time, and I'm too tired to think about that.
On another note, no one (that I've seen) mentioned:
http://www.comedity.com/index.php
http://www.thezombiehunters.com/index.php
http://www.lastblood.net/main/
http://www.shadowgirlscomic.com/index.php
http://www.earthsongsaga.com/vol2/100.html
I'm starting to read all the ones that place in the http://topwebcomics.com/ list.
All hail the webcomic veterans, who give up precious hours of our days to read achieves of wonderful art and humor. To all of you, I salute! *salutes* *passes out on keyboard* *starts sleep typing*

To be honest, that's what sorta made me like MegaTokyo. Love the art, and the story works just fine with me. Something Positive is the first comic I ever got into, as I've been told I bear a disturbing resemblance personality-wise to Davan. Luckily I'm less of a jackass on the internet.

http://www.studiofoglio.com/buck.html
Both done by Phil and Kaja Foglio. Kaja is very talented and Phil has been doing this kind of stuff since before the Dragon magazine days.
http://www.thedevilspanties.com/index.html
Sadly, NOT satanic porn. Done by Jennie Breeden who is more than a bit nuts.

A new strip that I just got into. Looks interesting (warning, contains nudity).
and lastly.

For your Furries and WoW related cartoons (definitely contains some adult material/themes).
-
omg thank you for listing katebeaton.com
i don't know how i never found it before (being a history MA AND from cape breton) but it is awesome and i almost peed laughing several times.
wicked. it is everything right with the world.
-
I read heaps of webcomic, upwards of 40 but some of my favourites are:
Irregular Webcomic! (http://Irregularwebcomic.net) – No set update schedule, hence the name, but it has updated daily for yonks.
DM of the Rings (http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?cat=14) – An ended screen-cap comic based on Lord of the Rings
Darth and Droids (http://darthsanddroids.net) – Same as DMotR but Star Wars. By the same guy as IWC! and six of his work mates.
Order of the Stick (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots.html) – I don’t game, but this is still a good comic.
xkcd (http://Xkcd.com) – You should know better than to ask about this one.
Looking For Group (http://lfgcomic.com/) – Mass murder is always fun
Ctrl-Alt-Delete (http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php) – I like it. I don't like the fact I like it, but I do. I hate myself for it.
-
There aren't many comics i actually find enjoyable.. but these.. Mmmmmmm
www.whiteninjacomics.com (http://www.whiteninjacomics.com) White Ninja
www.eandmu.com (http://www.eandmu.com) E & Mu
www.boasas.com (http://www.boasas.com) Boy on a Stick and Slither
-
Why aren't you people reading Achewood? It can beat up your puny webcomics.
-
Personally I read everyday: Questionable Content, Striptease, Penny & Aggie, Sluggy, Ctrl-Alt-Delete, and Elgoonish Shive - it's funny how after a few years you nail down which ones to keep reading.
For those looking for comics there is a large listing at comicalert.com and if you register you can link your favourites and have it tell you when they update :) ... it's how I found QC originally and boy was I thankful.
-
i'm gonna recommend two comics which might get me in trouble here.
www.squid i.net (http://www.squid i.net) - the first series "A Modest Destiny" was amazing. the rest of the garbage on that website is the aftermath of a small quarrel with the guys from Penny Arcade which left the author insane. I'm not kidding. You can look at the rest of the website as a good case study of the descent into madness.
(there is a space in squid i because it is wordfiltered to squidi because of his infamy.)
the second? www.leasticoulddo.com (http://www.leasticoulddo.com) I'm a huge fan of the comic but maybe that's because I've been reading it since it started. Other people have complained that it is the "Garfield" of the webcomic world, but I say fuck them. Check it out it's funny.
-
I can't promise that any of these are good, but the comics I read and at least mildly enjoy are:
xkcd
Strange Someone
Marry Me
Candi
Slackerz
Menage a 3
No Pink Ponies
Dinosaur Comics
and of course QC
-
check this one out! Sequential Art, consistently funny, covers a lot of ground
http://www.collectedcurios.com/sequentialart.php
-
I forgot to mention before but try www.bookofbiff.com (http://www.bookofbiff.com)
-
Slightly Arty Comics follow, if you're an XKCD fan you probably shouldn't bother.
Minus is a comic that just ended, about a little girl with magic powers. Start at the beginning, but be ready to be sad when it ends.
http://www.kiwisbybeat.com/minus.html
Rice Boy is also over, but it is one of the best comics I have ever read. It's a sort of fantasy epic that reminds me quite a bit of Bone, but isn't as good.
http://rice-boy.com/
Nine Planets Without Intelligent Life is about two robots who go on a road trip around the universe after humanity goes extinct. It updates slowly, but it is very good. Occasionally poignant, often hysterical, it's worth checking out.
http://bohemiandrive.com/comics/npwil.html
Pear Pear is cute and about a pear, but I could not tell you what it is about.
http://www.pear-pear.com/
-
I found a new one the other day. It's called Kevin and Kell (http://www.kevinandkell.com/). It's about a rabbit and a wolf that get married in a world in which everyone eats everyone else. It's pretty funny and updates daily. It’s over a decade old so it’s a hell of an archive binge.
-
I don't know if anyone has said this but I am about to pimp it pretty hard and the thing which is my metaphorical ho is Pictures for Sad Children (http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com/index.php?comicID=1)
There are many strips (http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com/index.php?comicID=151) that I enjoy (http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com/index.php?comicID=158).
-
cyanide and happiness is pretty hilarious! http://explosm.net (http://explosm.net) its all in stick figures.
can be mildly sadistic and weird!!
-
I think Gone with the Blastwave is pretty good. The guy doesn't update very often anymore, but the archives should keep you amused for an hour or so.
http://www.blastwavecomic.com/
-
I tried Better Days. It was pretty interesting, before it started reeking of furry incest.

www.chainsawsuit.com (http://www.chainsawsuit.com)--Chainsaw Suit is quirky and quite funny. I would also check out his other comic which he links to from his site.
www.dresdencodak.com (http://www.dresdencodak.com) -- I'm not sure if someone posted this one or not, if so I missed it. Definitely check it out! It is well drawn and always interesting.

My favs apart from this place is The Adventures of Dr. McNinja, Wondermark and VGCats.
Only problem with Dr. McNinja is that he doesn't release stuff for ages nowadays, but when he does, it's a must read. Awesome funny stuff.
Wondermark... some of it's a bit hit and miss, and other bits are a bit intelleck-shul, but there's hilarious stuff in it, and the merchandise is funny-stuff. My personal favourite was the Valentine's card.
VGCats is a gamer's webcomic. Play the games and the consoles or at least get the references first. Only then will you find much of the stuff to be funny.

My daily reads:
Questionable Content
Pictures For Sad Children
XKCD
Overcompensating

These are all the Webcomics I've bookmarked-
*Penny Arcade. Still good in my eyes.
*Shortpacked!. Actually the first Webcomic I ever read, usually a good read unless the author goes off on a political-religious tangent.
*Sequential Art. Amusing characters & pretty decent storyline.
*Real Life Comics, simplistic art design but genuinely entertaining characters.
I occasionally still check in on CAD too.
Oh yeah and there's some other thing about music and hot chicks with the initials Q and C. What the hell was that one again....

Here´s some Finnish webcomic, Otter Soldiers, if anyone´s interested. It gets a bit serious once in a while, but it´s still awesome! :-) The original is in Finnish (Saukkosotilaat), but the translations seemed quite good to me.. Then again, it has been more than a year since the last time I practised my English.

Btw, the link is not the beginning. If someone didn´t realize that.

personally my favourite webcomic is Sinfest. its really funny, updated often and constantly, cool characters frequent political and religious themed, though i have yet to find the writers bias if he has any. also about three thousand strips in the archive and the artwork past the very first couple is great.
http://www.sinfest.net/
and regarding VGcats, i would just read the archive and give up on it after that. his schedule is a total joke with weeks going between comics. nothing is more annoying than the same comic being there for nearly a month every time you check.
-
Here are some webcomics I recommend that don't get plugged too often:
http://www.squarecatcomics.com
A funny journal comic that replaces people with geometric animals.
http://notsodistant.net
An interesting sci-fi story featuring a non-humanoid alien as a main character.
http://www.kidradd.com
This ended in September 2004, but is what I consider THE best sprite comic ever made.
-
Some horrible, horrible, insanely funny comic about a serial killer:
Chopping Block by Lee Adam Herold (http://www.choppingblock.org/)
And one that's just beautiful and waaayyyyyy ahead of everything webcomicish I've ever seen:
The Abominable Charles Christopher by Karl Kerschl (http://horhaus.com/abominable/)
Oh I forgot Lackadaisy Cats (http://www.lackadaisycats.com/). It has cats in it. From the 20's.
-
this comic is new to the interwebs but its mildly amusing that's inhuman (http://www.thatsinhuman.com/)
-
Didn't read this thread, but I can summarize, as Gryff doesn't come round here no more.
*Read Achewood
*Are you reading Achewood yet?
*Start reading achewood you douchebags

Amazing comic even if it only updates once every Sunday.

Guys, guys, guys...http://www.mspaintadventures.com/ (http://www.mspaintadventures.com/)
Seriously
Under no circumstances should any of you click that link.
You have no idea what you're getting yourself into.
-
Yes. Because once you start you will not be able to stop!
-
the only one I check religiously that hasn't been mentioned is explodingdog.com by Sam Brown. It's not a typical webcomic, if it can even be classified as such at all. But it has a cult following and he'll be at Webcomics Weekend so I'm assuming it counts. As if my avatar didn't already speak for me.
A new one that I was directed to from QC's page is clementine and pomegranate. If you enjoy Natalie Dee, then you'll certainly like this.
-
I think Gone with the Blastwave is pretty good. The guy doesn't update very often anymore, but the archives should keep you amused for an hour or so.
http://www.blastwavecomic.com/
Yes! Thank you for this! Lost my bookmarks a while ago, and been trying to recollect all of them since then.
-
Sinfest (http://www.sinfest.net) might be the most smartly written, prettiest webcomic I've read in a long time.
-
No, that distinction belongs to Tiny Kitten Teeth (http://www.tinykittenteeth.com)
-
Man, thanks for sayin a nice thing about my comic. That meant a lot. I got all giddy and such :) Becky says hi!
-
Well, it ain't no thing. You should probably thank Ms. Gran for showin me the way
-
I thank many deities regularly for Meredith Gran.

No, that distinction belongs to Tiny Kitten Teeth (http://www.tinykittenteeth.com)
Everyone should go read this NOW! the drawing is fantastic
-
One of my favourite webcomics ever is 1/0 (http://"http://www.undefined.net/1/0/"). It's quite experimental; there is absolutely no fourth wall, explores the nature of fiction itself and the characters have various philosophical discussions whilst still being very funny. The artwork is quite dodgy at the start and the story is quite slow to begin with, but is very rewarding once read the whole way through.
CascadeFailure (http://"http://cascadefailure.comicgenesis.com/d/20020311.html") is on hiatus at the moment but it's a must for fans of video games, RPGs, WOW, and nutty shenanigans in general, drawn in a sorta anime style.
-
Just finished reading complete Archive of anders<3maria was ok. A little bit too much f*&^ing though. Just my opinion.
-
I enjoy theWAREHOUSE (http://www.warehousecomic.com/comic_001.php) as a web comic. The main dangers of this comic are the rampant puns. I warned you... They are mostly self-contained strips with a couple of recurring characters here and there. Pretty funny.
-
Anybody already mentioned Unspeakable Vault? If not, this thread needs more FTAGN!

I actually just wrote a blog about the webcomics that I look forward to reading the most and a little explanation for each:
http://thesoftcorenerd.today.com/2009/07/29/introductions-and-webcomic-round-up/ (http://thesoftcorenerd.today.com/2009/07/29/introductions-and-webcomic-round-up/)
The webcomics I mention include
Penny-Arcade
Joe Loves Crappy Movies
Dinosaur Comics
Dr. McNinja
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal
Kate Beaton (Hark! A Vagrant)
A Softer World
Octopus Pie
Anders Loves Maria
Pictures for Sad Children
Of course, I'm excluding some really awesome webcomics that are out there, and that's probably because I either haven't read them or just have a different excitement level when I check their updates (QC included).
In regards to finding other good webcomics, I do what rynne suggested and check out the links from my favorite webcomics. It seems that the really good ones get linked all the time, so I tend to check those out if I haven't already.
