So last year there was that Broken Social Scene Presents: Kevin Drew, and it was pretty damn good. But now we have Broken Social Scene Presents: Brendan Canning. I must say, it's amazing. I was wondering if anyone else has had a listen, and what their thoughts were.
Possible Grenade and Antique Bull are standouts for sure.

It's pretty boss. His work with Kevin Drew in K.C. Accidental shines through on some of the songs and I greatly fancy that.
-
completely agree with you there.
-
Are we talking about the leaked unmastered version?
-
It should be out by now. When it leaked, he decided to digitally release it early.
-
It's not doing all that much for me, honestly. It's got its moments, though. At this point the only non-Feist BSS project I dig is Raising the Fawn. I don't know what to do.

Stars??

This is good. Not top of the year material... but... good.

I loved Spirit If..., so I'll probably end up looking into this sooner or later (preferably sooner).
-
Spirit If... didn't really do much for me. This on the other hand is really solid stuff. Won't say it's good yet until I've heard the mastered version though.
-
I agree with ^. I only liked one or two songs on Spirit If, but I find myself listening to most of this album over and over again. P.S., I'm fairly sure Sordo has the mastered version up, it's the one that's only been active a few days or so.

Oh cool, grabbing that. Fingers crossed it sounds even better now.
