huh. i didn't think that marten was a retard but that's a matter of personal opinion, i guess.

Sick burn

You are referring to the 'bluh fuh hurble gnuh' incident, I presume?
Anyway, however awesome the idea of Jon Arbuckle running a gay night club is, it seems unlikely.
-
Gah. Now I'm picturing Liz as a dominatrix....
-
Unlike Jon, Marten has gotten laid in the past twenty years.
-
actually, recently in the plotline*** of garfield jon has been dating that liz veterinarian for the last few months. she kinda looks like a slut, and probably has enough low self-esteem to put herself in the situation to have intercourse with a thirty year old virgin.
that brings up another fun topic: is jon really a virgin? has he had any meaningful relationships? it's kind of sad how a comic that's been around for 30 years there has been no character development besides counting down the days until garfields birthday. (also, garfield is now 218 in cat years. holy shit, he must possess the holy grail.)
***i'm not exactly sure if i'd call it a plotline if it's been stretched to over a year with little to none references being made to the relationship besides in a couple sunday strips.

man removing Garfield makes Jon seem like the annoying whiny guy who you just wanna give a shot in the gut to.
Than again Garfield is a CAT so I think removing Garfield shows us a hopeless whiny guy and leaving Garfield in shows us a hopeless whiny guy who's only friend is a cat. Sad :(
-
Something about this one just makes me laugh. Probably because it is a little to close to home for comfort.

I like the "silent Garfield" ones better than "no Garfield". Too many of the "no Garfield" looks like "hurr hurr, random = comedy GOLD".

Word. Lonely pathetic guy who talks to obese cat = funnier than lonely pathetic guy who talks to self.
-
obese cats make everything funny.
-
Jon would have had to get his bone on somehow to father Marten.
I refute the theory!

This one, I actually found funny:
