It looks pretty sweet (http://www.gamespot.com/video/944424/6194975/videoplayerpop?).
Never was a fan of RTS/RPG hybrids but good lord, is that pretty lookin'.

This is Chris Taylor's new game, right? I remember when it was first announced, and I was really impressed by the art design even in the very early shots they showed. Not a huge fan of RTS games anymore, but if it doesn't require a ton of micromanagement I might give it a spin out of curiosity. Nice work on getting the plant woman as close to naked as possible, guys. Classy.
Also, I think at first Gas Powered showed this game without a publisher. Interesting that Stardock is picking this up rather than a larger publisher, because I thought Taylor had intended to bring this to consoles, which Stardock has never done before. I wonder if that plan has changed, or if Stardock would farm out the console ports to a different publisher.

The Gamespot vid wasn't working for me, so I checked it out on Youtube. Looks like it could be interesting if you can choose which demigod you play as and they all have very well-defined (and balanced) strengths/weaknesses.
Also, one of the clips said it was a trailer for the PS3 game Demigod, so maybe it is coming to consoles? If so then Stardock are branching out, which is cool!

Well like I said, I think I read that Chris Taylor said he was planning to bring the game to consoles, but that was before the game had a publisher. Now that it's been picked up by Stardock, I don't know if that has been scrapped, Stardock is putting out their first console game, or if they'd contract those versions out to somebody else. Gas Powered has had a pretty strong relationship with Sega in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up putting out the console versions. But if that were the case, it just begs the question why Sega decided not to publish the game in the first place. It's a bit of a confusing situation.

Reminds me of Sacrifice (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacrifice_(computer_game)l)

Looks like a lot of video footage and no actual gameplay. They're going for PC release with this? It would be helpful if they'd supply some more information for this game if they wanted people to get excited.
Seems like a glorified and graphics heavy [meaning high end PCs only] game, which is pretty certain to ensure it'll for the most part be ignored by the general gaming public.
-
I can agree that it does have a lot of footage that looks pre-rendered, but there is a fair bit of gameplay footage spliced in as well.
-
What would be really great is if most of it actually was gameplay. You're allowed to dream about ridiculously good graphics, aren't you?

Nope. That's against the rules.

Same here. I only hope the similarities donīt end with its genre and visual thingies...

As someone who had a chance to play around with the game back when there were no art assets, I can guarantee that it'll be fun.
The game will be PC only, all the footage in the video is in-game with a few touch-up effects and pre-scripting, and (I believe) the requirements will be reasonable.

There is a preview (http://au.pc.ign.com/articles/906/906087p1.html) out, and it is strikingly similar to DotA in Warcraft. Which should prove interesting.

also, the trailer music is pretty badass - they should have that kind of music in the actual game because it sounds perfect for epic battles
