Title: tinkerbell tells the time
Post by: jhocking on 26 Oct 2008, 06:27
My apologies if this goes in the movies forum, but I wasn't sure. This seems like something our British friends would have an opinion about, so I'm curious:

Good grief, that is such an high pitched squeeky voice, i hope that i will never find myself sitting in a plane next to whoever has that voice.

*dies of interaural bleeding*

Oh god, that Disney children-hosted "news report" made me want to die inside.

Man that's horrible, If anyone had any use for the talking clock anymore, I'd be annoyed.

Mae Whitman's voice isn't that terribly awful when she isn't being forced to be freakishly perky. But yeah, she does definitely sound young, even for a 20 year old.

When I first heard about this, I got excited because I thought they meant the REAL Tinkerbell, who is of course Julia Roberts. And she is a goddess. But clearly they have no taste.

It's not squeaky but it sounds like a really peppy and obnoxious cheerleader who is also on a cocktail of antidepressants.

An Englishman speaks:

Ugh!

I'm glad I have a watch, and so never need to use this "service".

I feel kind of weird about this.  Based upon the commercials I have seen I don't even remotely want to see the movie, but I like the look of the animation.

These days, you don't even need a watch. Your cell phone tells time without dialing anything.

That voice is very annoying, I think it is the perkiness, her voice isn't squeaky or anything, but the cheerfulness gets on my nerves instantly.

The part that amuses me is that I've heard that actress on other programs before using that tone of voice, except she was willfully annoying the other character at the time.
