man, everything I listen to puts me in a good mood. But that is because I listen to Folk and that is a genre for men with vaginas.I'm just going to assume that's a good thing.
Anything by Bill Bailey, but especially "insect nation"
"Lost Coastlines" by Okkervil River.
That's true. Something with a big beat and heavy bass can really wake you up in the morning. I choose 'California Love' myself. The original with the piano and horns, not the remix.
Black Moth Super Rainbow
"Party Hard" by Andrew W.K. Terrible song
Beulah
duh
Otherwise, if I'm in a foul mood and need cheering up, I listen to some Grindcore.
Mountains in the Sky
In terms of extreme metal, I use thrash metal.This. Especially Metal Church, but there is just something about the song Wrecking Crew.
Mountains in the Sky
HURRRRGH yes
anything by Okkervil River, specifically "Okkervil River Song" and "Lost Coastlines"really?
God, this just turned into an orgy of "my music is more obscure than yours." I haven't heard of barely any of these bands.

I was so confused lol. I mean I listen to underground stuff, but I guess it's not the same folksy, hipster, indie genre. Which if that's what you like, good on you, but most of it bores or depresses me. If it makes you happy, though, woo!
Also "Hey Jealousy" by Gin Blossoms
Pachuca sunrise - minus the bear
All of "Highly Refined pirates" - Minus The Bear
I thought I was one of only few that listens to Gin Blossoms. Props.
Mybloodyjesusexploreronfire - You Slut
Seriously, this song is happy as fuck (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ohhss3V10rA)
(I contemplated using the phrase happy as shit, but then decided that wouldn't be very happy. I didn't want to go with fuck, but the only other option I could think of was hell, and that's really not happy at all either. So I guess happy as fuck fits best. even though it sounds kind of stupid.)

This made me happy in my pants! Sounds like Pelican playing pop-punk, I love it.
"Little League" by Cap'n Jazz gets me pumped every time I hear it. Oh man.
"Busy Being Bees" by Monument gets me pumped every time I hear it. Oh man.
Yes, it's retarded, but in the vaguely cute kind of way.

Daylight by Matt & Kim
And almost anything from Singin' in the Rain.
And almost anything from Singin' in the Rain.
I effin' love you man.
I am almost absolutely certain I've already said that in this thread already.
I know what you mean, there's this speed/power metal band I listen to (whose name escapes me) that has this awesome jazz breakdown in the middle of one of their songs out of nowhere. It is hilarious.
