I just watched the movie Wristcutters: A love story which i reccomend to all and am wondering if there are more dark comedy/romantic movies out there that make u feel good at the end?

In Bruges, Lars and the Real Girl
But those are the only ones I can think of right now.

How does In Burges end well? I can only think of Shaun of the Dead at the moment, gotta love the zombies.

Er...What do you mean "feel good at the end?" You mean walking away feeling all happy and optimistic about life? That's kinda hard...Most of them don't do that kind of thing.

I understand what u mean thats why i am asking for more movies like that actually i dont need the dark part i just don't wanna watch a mind numbing romantic comedy i wanna watch something with more meaning then that.

Eh...I dunno man...I guess you could try Duplex...I've only seen snippets of the thing myself, but it seems like it fits what you're looking for. Maybe Heathers? I's an oldy, but it has a okay ending.

Hmm...Meet the Feebles? That kind of ends happy. You're making this kind of difficult, though. The whole point of dark/black comedies is that they can get pretty depressing, and almost never end on a positive note.

Grosse Point Blank is basically the best romantic comedy ever, and there is definitely a fair amount of darkness in that movie. It's one of my favorites of all time.

In Bruges is an excellent example. Lars and the Real Girl... not so much? I fail to see how it's "dark." Little Miss Sunshine qualifies, maybe, but it's less on the dark and more on the comedy. Anyway, it's not really my genre. I generally feel that they're more dark than comedic, which is a mixture I don't really care for. In Bruges, though. Great movie.

I watch very few movies...but...
Igby Goes Down is one of my favourites. Certainly a comedy, but not so much dark as a bit seedy at times.

Grosse Point Blank is basically the best romantic comedy ever, and there is definitely a fair amount of darkness in that movie. It's one of my favorites of all time.

Wristcutters is a very cool movie.
A different shade of dark but very funny and sad at the same time is Terry Gilliam's Brazil.
It's not that sad on a personal level but seeing this genius depiction of a futuristic society that just extrapolates all the silliness we already had in the 70s and 80s is just ... sad. Greatly sad.
A few more I forgot to mention ... Little Miss Sunshine (funny and dark, should qualify) and a movie with Jason Bateman called Trust about a pregnant teen and a middle-aged guy who somehow end up together.

Watch Mike Leigh's Happy-Go-Lucky. It's scarcely dark at all and it's definitely not a mind-numbing romantic comedy and it only came out last year.

Coen Brothers, anyone? Though the only ones I can think of that make me feel "optimistic" are Raising Arizona and the Big Lebowski. Still, you should watch some Coen Brothers anyway.
The art direction in Wristcutters was superb but the end made me want to throw my remote through the screen. I felt the ending was totally pasted on.

Aye, Burn After Reading was what immediately came to mind when I saw the thread title. You might also try The Royal Tennenbaums, which is a few years old, although that movie is more just plain dark than a dark comedy.

Not so much romantic, but Trainspotting is funny for a movie about such a dark matter as heroin addiction.

As soon as I read the premise of this thread, I thought Coen Brothers.
The Big Lebowski has already been mentioned, but I'll re-emphasize it. And in the interest of adding something new, O, Brother Where Art Thou? would probably also fit the bill.

Dark Comedy? Um...Intermission? Regardless if it is supposed to be romantic or funny, I find it hilarious, "snuggly" and a bit dark, too.

No. -_- Stay away from this one. It's a faux snuff film that's apparently really realistic. If you're into that kind of thing, go for it, but it definitely doesn't fit the topic at hand.

Off the top of my head, I'd say Happiness, Dr Strangelove, Fargo, I'm a Cyborg (But That's OK).

I have plenty of sense of humor. But springing something like the Guinea Pig films on someone without adequate warning is too much. Especially if they don't know it's fake.

Monkey Dust was good, comedy dosen't really get darker than that cartoon show.

I've never understood anybody thinking Flower Of Flesh And Blood is real. I've watched it and, while the scenes of violence are well done and somewhat realistic, the editing and slow-motion effects to add drama completely give it away. Anyone who says it looks real has not seen the movie (except for Charlie Sheen, apparently).

One of my favorite movies is called, "The Weather Man". It's a great dark/black comedy about a guy who tries to put his life back together, but he keeps getting in his own way. It stars Nicholas Cage and Michael Caine and both of them do a fantastic job in it.

Saved! and Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys are both awesome, and both star Jena Malone (love herrrr).
Saved! is the story of a girl in a very prepster and religious type high school who finds out her boyfriend is gay, so she attempts to "save" him, getting pregnant in the process. Patrick Fugit is also in this one! And it's more of a satire than anything else really, and it's less dark.
Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys is older and much darker than Saved!. In this, a group of boys have rad adventures and draw comics. They also go to a religious school and they hate on a nun played by Jodie Foster. One time they try to kidnap a mountain lion from the zoo!
Chumscrubber is another one that is awesome, but this one is much more dark than comedy, but still very good and still very funny (just in a twisted way).
