Why not maybe choose one of the many other superior reggae musicians who do not have songs advocating the murder of homosexuals?

someone read my mind

kinda
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'sites/all/modules/contrib/smtp/phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /var/razor/mixtape/sites/all/modules/contrib/smtp/smtp.module
right there you can see "/class.phpmailer.php" and it looks like one php was added where it should replace the name of the other. it looks like a simple fix if only they could be notified...

If I remember correctly I got the same error myself when trying to sign up, so I just bypassed it entirely by requesting a new password. Then when I got it I just logged right in.

Crazy for You (1:19:33, 138 MB)
This is a cinematic mix set for a story I wrote about zombies. I dislike the usual undead creatures that moan and shuffle across the silver screen, so this soundtrack reveals my zombie world. Try to make it yours through the music and lyrics as you imagine each player, as you imagine each scene.
The mix is split into two parts, two sides meant to be listened to consecutively in one session. Or take each side separately, if you like. Whether you choose listening cohesively, selectively or randomly, it's yours now. Enjoy.Code: [Select]Side A (1-14, 37:57, 69.8 MB)

THE CANON - i'll have missed things. i tried to leave off things you said you knew already, too. i didn't capitalize much. and maybe you should listen to it a couple times before you read the commentary that comes next. i'm jealous of and excited for you for getting to hear some of these for the first time. some of them i included just because so many other people like them, but almost all of them are there because they really are great music.
Such Great Heights - this is out of order chronologically, because I couldn't get it to change the year. it kind of sums up the last twelve years though.... everyone actually discovered good music, but they called it indie so that it didn't seem popular eventhough it was slash started to be.
king of carrot flowers - a record store clerk actually told me "this song saved my life," and in the song's defense, it really does stand as the break bketween the time when good music was found on the radio and when good music just said "f*ck you we don't care if anyone ever plays outside of their bedroom."
caring is creepy - the Natalie Portman of music for so many reasons.
since I left you - this is what smart girls ask you to play when they're drunk so you both feel cooler than you really are.
a good man is easy to kill - this song made a roommate cry once... once she listened to the lyrics.
a movie script ending - death cab for cutie used to be an amazing band. i had a hard time transitioning to a lot of music because "none of these guys can sing."
jacksonville skyline - f*ck.
jesus, etc. - one of the few songs where I can remember exactly where I was the first time I heard it.
secret santa cruz - a bit of a waste since the group's work is all completely intertwined with a enormous running narrative. the narrative is really beautiful.
turn the page - their second album, A GRAND DON'T COME FOR FREE, is actually their best, but this song is an introduction.
to hell with good intentions - pure rock.
one big holiday - for a second it looked like country ROCK was going to work. it didn't, but this song did.
so alive - ryan adams deserves his own disc compilation.
one with the freaks - this record is what all the small-voice, big blip indie rock wants to be but isn't
heartbeats - this record is what all the indie dance rock wants to be but isn't.
your ex-lover is dead - one of the last "three perfect songs" and "nine throwaway songs" sort of album bands.
the rat - would be the best song ever if it weren't for "to hell with good intentions."
smile like you mean it - went on a date w/ a girl in cambridge. in the middle of it she bragged to me very casually that she went to harvard. I replied, "even the bartender here went to harvard." this song makes me want to say, "even the girl in sales and marketing likes 'indie rock.'"
take me out - the first big win for assymetric song structures. also, hearing this on the radio was the best part of my day when i was working for wells fargo.
like eating glass - if it weren't so popular, it would be better.
not about love - not released for two years because the record company thought it wouldn't sell... this happened JUST before people learned how to monetize w/ the interent and withOUT physical records.
7/4 shoreline - the takeover of real musicians, who just happen to play rock music. try to count it.
maple leaves - the confluence of cleverness, poignancy, and samples.
Oh, Well - same story as "not about love," but with a really perfect string of chord progressions.
dear sons and daughters of hungry ghosts / i'll believe in anything - 1) they go together on the album and are hard to separate. 2) they opened for the arcarde fire and are never described as this since the arcarde fire are "the most important band ever" but imagine wolf parade as "what if the arcade fire grew a pair."
the geese of beverley road - picking a song by the national was the most impossible thing ever, and now that i've done it, i'm panicking. should I have gone more rock/ should i have gone fmor more soft? should i have been more of a "single"/ these are things I can't answer so instead here is a song that made me very excited in a bret hart graham greene sort of way
stuck between stations - give his voice 10 listens before judging. listen to the lyrics. also they wrote this in their late 30s so excuse the springsteen keys.
arctic monkeys - north country kids... try to imagine yourself drunk on cheap beer and surrounded by chavs trying to impress artsy girls and being really annoyed but really happy the band you're all seeing is good.
painter in your pocket - my french guitar teacher hated this so much, and that makes me so happy.
young bridge - the least gloomy song by the gloomiest band in the world. the album is a concept album about frontier families, and they actually pull it off.
atlas - at some point weird dance music became a thing. i stay up nights wondering which part of this song came first and what compelled them to keep going. so glad they did.
you'll need those fingers for crossing - the least twee song from the most twee band ever.
two weeks - this is what boring people who want to appear less boring always tell me is their favorite song. probably could have said that shorter by mentioning brooklyn industries sooner in the description.
young hearts spark fire - 2 kids. guitar and drums. too much cheap wine.
1. Manchester Orchestra - "Are You Really Naked Under There?"
2. Patrick Wolf - "Time Of My Life"
3. Robyn - "Get Myself Together"
4. The Killers - "Four Winds"
5. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - "Higher Than The Stars"

there's something missing and I don't know how to add it. Anyone have any pointers?
Yeah I need some dedicated, rigorous practice with GIMP, which is what I use. I can't use anything that isn't halfway automatic. Trying just to make a shape with smooth, straight edges is hard enough for me. Pizazz is just out of my league entirely.there's something missing and I don't know how to add it. Anyone have any pointers?
It's just a bit sloppy man. Typography's not laid together pleasingly, you've got hard and soft-edged elements not mixing right, nothing to tie it together etc.
Try something more like this:
http://image.bayimg.com/ladblaade.jpg (http://image.bayimg.com/ladblaade.jpg)
Better to do it from the raw files though than fuck around with the JPG like I did here, also I probably went overboard at a few points, but I like playing around. Think about how everything lines up with everything else and about the edges and borders and shapes, is all the general advice I can give.

If anyone actually likes this go ahead'n ask for more, got loads.
Australian Gold Coast hedonism meets the alienation of Milton's epic. Familiar elements of authentic beach culture filtered through a Lynchian lens; a bleak and gloomy subversion of carefree subtropical life. Deadbeat dejection under the smoldering sun. Via the uncanniness of living Down Under and languorously lush summer days during supposedly cold winter months. Or: just enjoy the chill tunes bro. Whatever.

I'm up to 1976. Woo.
Here is the cover art (made by me, in MS Paint) and track list for a mix CD I made for the guy I like. He has yet to listen to it, but that's another issue. I didn't have an empty CD case, so I put it in a DVD case. And made it all spoopy.Nice! MS Paint is underrated. I use it a lot.
