YES. (http://store.steampowered.com/sub/469/)
It almost makes me wish I hadn't bought it when it came out. No, wait, it doesn't.
-
You have to wonder, what kind of people don't have it by now?
-
So it'd be best to go with the PC package instead of the console one? I don't have it yet, but it's on my list of things I want now.
:-)
-
Just got it, £5.66 for all those excellent games. Unbelievable
-
I got it a month or two ago for £12.
It is amazing.
-

My thoughts exactly. They could give out the game for free and I wouldn't begrudge them any of the money I already paid. It was an absurd amount of entertainment per dollar well before it was ever discounted.
-
Valve just do not make sense. At all. While other game companies are constantly finding new ways to milk money from customers (charging for DLC that could've been included in the game is a major one), they take games that were amazing deals when they were released and make them even more amazing. All while constantly updating for free.
Hats off.

According to this list (http://www.ztgamedomain.com/6908/Best-PC-Game-Developers-of-All-Time.html), Blizzard is a better developer than Valve. When reading the list, though, you'll notice that the author chooses to emphasize Valve's user-based development and dedication, which can't be said of Blizzard to the same degree. When it comes to devs, there is literally no better place to work.

If I were going to cop out and put a double header up like they did with Lionshead/Westwood, I would have gone with Looking Glass/Irrational, since many gamers wouldn't be caught dead badmouthing Thief, Bio/System Shock and at least there's some overlap between the personnel. Or maybe I would have said Bungie. People can bitch all they want about Halo's popularity being undeserved, but the bottom line is that Bungie honed their game design chops with Marathon and Mythic, both of which were easily first rate titles, the former being pretty much the single ray of light shining upon macs in the early 90s.
Ah well, it doesn't really matter. Ranked lists are silly.
-
Boy that list is a crappy piece of writing.
-
Jesus you guys missed the point.
-
I got the point there was just absolutely nothing about it that interested me, so I chose to talk about the list itself.
-
So it'd be best to go with the PC package instead of the console one.
Fixed for all situations.

Shrug, just bought it- It was never a priority to me. Bought halflife for $0.99 when it had its 10 year anniversary and played it for the first time as well. Grew up with Quake/Q2/AQ, kinda got burnt out by FPS. Switched over to EQ/WC3.
-
It's not The Orange Box, but Left 4 Dead is free for everyone to play for 24 hours this Friday.

Oh hush you.
-
L4D is 40% off this weekend. Give it a test run then buy it!
I now own Orange Box and L4D for both 360 and PC.
I am Valve's bitch.
-
I already did that. But Orange Box got stolen and sold by my little brother for drugs. However, I owned a previous copy of Half-Life 2, so I think that balances everything out.
-
Buying the Orange box is doing the Lord's Work. I approve!
-
That post was made creepier by your avatar.

console fag alert
steam games can't be resold.
-
I know, he stole the 360 version. I still have the Steam version, obviously. I barely played the 360 version, I just kinda got it to show off the game to some of my computerless friends. (Okay, not computerless, but it was a 300$ computer 5 years ago and they still use 56k, so there was no other way they were gonna see it)

Can we not have this turn into a "My way of gaming is superior to yours" thread, for the love of god?
edit: Hurp durp spelling. Happy now?
-
I don't know, man. My May of gaming is probably going to suck balls.
-
I prefer October gaming, when there's nothing cool to do outside.
