This thread could turn into a thread where people post their computer woes and others help to fix them.
I'm trying to make it seem a little less selfish because I just want someone to help me with my text problems.
The problem is, one day (I think I was drunk) I accidentally clicked something and it changed the appearance of my text on forums and just the web in general, it also affected some stuff offline as well. It seems to have made everything a lot brighter and bold. I'm using vista ultimate, I've tried windows colour and appearance and managed to get it to change slightly by changing the smoothing. It made it less bold but it's all crinkly now.
Help me QC forums!

ctrl+mouse scroll wheel could have done that, I guess.

Tried, didn't work. I have no idea what it could be.
It's been like this for a long time now. I kind of get used to it, but as soon as a I go onto someone else's computer with normal text my eyes start thanking me. Then they start hating me again when I get back to my computer.

Also try ctrl - + and ctrl - - (on both the number row and numpad).

Just zooms the whole page in and out, no change to the boldness and brightness of the text. It's affected programmes like MSN and Utorrent as well.
Thanks for the help anyway guys.

You turned on high contrast or summit?
Rclick desktop > Personalize > Window colour and appearance > Color scheme > ????? > PROFIT!

Just checked, it's set to vista basic. Nothing else is out of order. Just the appearance of the text. I have no idea what I did.

Post us a screenshot of a web page, then a no-flash photo of the same web page.

This (http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu233/arsebadger/Helpmewithmycomputerproblem_1241822.png?t=1241823628) and this (http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu233/arsebadger/SeriousPonyDiscussionForum-Index_12.png?t=1241823720) Is what QC forums looks like for me. I don't know how to get a no flash photo.
Edit: Wait like just a photo with no flash, cause it would look the same as a screenshot or am I being an idiot and you're referring to computer type flash?

Looks like you changed Firefox's default font. Tools > Options > Content > Font & Colors > Advanced > Fonts for: Western; Proportional: Serif; Size: 16; Serif: Verdana; Sans-serif: Arial; Monospace: Courier New; Size: 13; Minimum font size: None; Check Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above; Default Character Encoding: Western (ISO-8859-1)
