I called my mom a few minutes ago.  She was like, "where's my flowers?"  Glad you liked the card mom.

Nothing is ever good enough for my mother and I have just come to accept that no matter what I do it will a) not be satisfactory or b) overshadowed by my brother - who is a jackass to everyone (especially my mother) on every day that is not a holiday. On holidays he is very good at doing things that make my mother get all weepy and sentimental, where my efforts go unnoticed (no matter how good they are).

I am not bitter though guys.

Bought her two things of flowers, a card, did the dishes (which she usually has to drag me into doing), and mowed the back and the front yard.

I wrote a song for my mom with my ten year old brothers, and made her Eggs Benedict.
Considering that both were kind of spur of the moment things, they turned out awesome. My poached eggs even came out well!

I saw the movie Taken with my mom.  They are doing a run of it at the nice old theater in town.  Liam Neeson kills everyone.

I rang my mum, and will go see her tonight and giver her the cd I bought her. Maybe work out a time to go out for dinner or something with her. I hope that my brother actually booked somewhere to take her out to lunch yesterday, seeing as the past few years he hasn't and everywhere has been full.

I went home to hang out with my mom and my grandma. I got them pretty jewelery and my mom's husband grilled and we played a bunch of cards and I got a sunburn. Also I climbed around a barn which was actually really cool (they used to have barn dances there)

My sister got her perfume. She put my name on it, whoo! (I'm broke).

I'll be out of the house and living on my own when I'm 17 tho'.

My kid is still too small to understand that she needs to be totally awesome for me.  Fortunately, she's wonderful 99% of the time anyway.
