Title: can we talk about fables? (spoiler warning)
Post by: Allybee on 17 May 2009, 20:20
okay I don't really want to talk about fables so much as WOW BOY BLUE WHYYYY

but really, I am only just getting into serialized comics and man, I am so addicted to fables. something about all the familiar characters just really has me hooked. I'm not sure if it is cool or uncool to like fables because I'm not really in on the comic scene and also I don't really care. but really I just got mostly caught up and I am so bummed out why you gotta kill off my favorite character fuck

Also, I like Bigby as a faux Wolverine.

The best monthly strip magazine here started including fables among it's series about a year ago, and it's fantastic. The world works, the characters are believable, and the author(s?) has found a brilliant way of combining the fable-element and the fact that everyone is real people, with real feelings. It's great!

I don't know how far out in the volumes we are, we just got to the point were the cubs have met their granddaddy, so there's a lot I'm still want to know. First of all, was all the people like they are now back in the homeland? Or were they all fairytale-like, and then turned to be more human-like when they entered the human world?

So many questions, such a good series.

Boy cries wolf, nobody comes in the end.
