Title: Oh hey, Deadpool is Green Lantern 2

Ryan Reynolds got the part (http://headlineplanet.com/home/2009/07/11/movie-news-the-green-lantern-revealed/) for the upcoming Green Lantern film which should hit cinemas sometime in 2011. I'm a little disappointed that Pine didn't get it.

I don't know, I kind of thought the suggestion of casting Jack Black and making a non-serious Green Lantern film would have been kind of cool.  I was always rooting for Ryan to be the Flash, but word is Niel Patrick Harris (http://www.themovieblog.com/2009/02/neil-patrick-harris-is-the-flash) may be getting that part.

On a related Green Lantern note, Geoff Johns has given us a pretty sweet 4 years but I'm a little worried about DC Zombies. Sure, Black Hand is genuinely creepy now but:

As someone who's only liked a handful of things from DC since Identity Crisis, I really enjoyed the first issue of Blackest Night. I think Johns is the only writer at DC who doesn't suck out loud.

I was a little miffed that they offed Hawkman and Hawkgirl, what with that crazy love thing they had, but then I remembered they haven't really done anything with them in a while.  Also they will more then likely be back by the end of the year.
