I apologize if this has already been reported, but take a look on the top shelf of the anime and games store in the bottom panel of this Weregeek comic from July 13, 2007:

It also has the communist bot and the robot from Freefall Purrsia. Well spotted, good man.

Gotta read it now.

-
Just a guess, but I think the creator of weregeek is a fan of QC

Revive and linkity link (http://www.scarygoround.com/sgr/ar.php?date=20051222).
-
It's a double...no, a triple play!
-

Red Robot is not a communist. He's just evil.
-
My bad; I probably conflated him with the communist robots of Scary Go Round.

I think this (http://scribs.us/?c=235) is a yelling bird tribute...?
-
Nah

OK, maybe not. But one of these barista girls (http://www.candicomics.com/d/20050713.html) is difinitely Faye from a few years ago (July '05). Don't know the other two, but damn there are a lot of coffee shops in webcomics...

The one on the left would be Tina The Demon Barista from Wapsi Square. I don't recognize the third gal.
-
Tina's not a demon!
She's several demons.

She's several demons.
Well, yeah, but the moniker is one she put on herself.
I still can't place that third barista, though. I know Starline is a big fan of Wapsi and QC... maybe that's someone from the cast of Schlock Mercenary?

(finally I can answer the question that my referrer logs brought me to...)
It wasn't.

Thought I'd bring this thread back to life...
Check out the t-shirt in the first panel (http://www.pennyandaggie.com/index.php?p=1029)!
-
I was wondering when someone was going to bring that up...
-
Pretty cool. A Marigold homage. I'm still not sure what to think of Marigold, but that was a great line, so cool.
