Title: PAX East Coast
Post by: Lines on 13 Oct 2009, 05:56
http://www.paxsite.com/paxeast/index.php

Who's with me?

I am probably attending this with friends, but if other forumites are interested, maybe we can get a few rooms near each other in a hotel and have hangouts? Or just plan to meet in a certain place at a certain time? But anyways, this thread is for people who are planning to attend!

I am definitely up for this, wil be a little questionable if it's possible until closer but as of now I can't see any reason why I won't be able to attend.

Wasn't Jon trying to plan a second Bostoncon around this?

I'm in, regardless.

It's looking like this is a big fat YES, as I can tie it in to one of my classes and make it awesome and stuff. So yeah I'm still a maybe but leaning further towards yes.

Shane's right. I made a thread to organize something around this a month ago, so yeah, I'm in.

There will be couch space, as well. I have a couch, a love seat and a full sized air mattress, plus some floor space. We fit four or five people here last time and we could probably fit a couple more if necessary. My place is small, but it's an option. I'm not going to put forth any real fair rules on my space: I will be handing it out based upon how well I get along with you (Though preference will, of course, be given to those who need it). This is, of course, likely to be irrelevant, as I can't think of anyone who might be coming who I'd turn away.

For those who can afford a hotel, I'd recommend Harding House (http://www.cambridgeinns.com/harding/) in Cambridge. It's a bed and breakfast that is, literally, right across the street from me (And has wireless internet. I should know, I've leeched off of it before).

Here's also some hostels in the area: Hostels. (http://www.hostels.com/findabed.php?ChosenCity=Boston&ChosenCountry=USA&Search=1)

Also, bring a present. My birthday's that week.

I think they finally caught on and slapped a password on their wireless, though..

Jon, if I'm coming, I think I may be coming with at least 4-6 friends, so I don't need floor space. (Also, I still have bumps on my head from all those pipes.) But that bed/breakfast looks awesome, so maybe I'll pester you from across the street. Bwaha! I will bring you a present to make up for it.

I know jack about gaming so this is probably a no for me. However, y'all know that I'm in Boston a lot anyway so if enough of you are showing up to this, I'll put in some effort to be there that weekend.

I will make a big effort to go.  Unless a big project comes up, then I'll be able to go.

Don't you live in Newton? You can't feasibly have an understanding of cheap places to eat if you live in Newton. It's in the handbook.
