Title: Calling Chicagoan QCers
Post by: I Am Not Amused on 17 Oct 2009, 12:30
Hi thurr.

I'm Chris. Nice to meet you.

I just graduated, moving to Chicago in May for my internship at Pitchfork. Now I've finished that up and am stalking the illusive, maybe mythical beast known as the Job. Since my girlfriend headed back to Minnesota for college, my days for the past few weeks have consisted of looking for jobs online, wasting time and having no idea what to do.

So, uh, anybody wanna meet up sometime? Grab a beer, or some lunch or something? I live in Wicker Park and am bored pretty much all the time.

Yeah, so, you know, Facebook me (here (http://www.facebook.com/christopher.bosman)) or my AIM is RacecarBrown.

I promise I'm not a stalker/murderer/rapist. I am kind of an asshole?

Look forward to maybe meeting some of you fine gentlemen and ladies.

-Chris

Go to the Belmont on the blue line and get off, walk east until you see Kuma's Corner in a building.

It's not so much that I don't have things to do, it's more like I don't have people to do them with. I am not much of a "hang out by myself" guy anymore and I would like to meet some people and extend my social circle beyond the handful of people I know.

Yeah.

If you'd like to add "being prodded with a cane" and "being told to get off someone's lawn" to your exciting list of activities, you may want to meet Joe Hocking.

Also you missed the largest forum meet-up of the year which took place in Chicago this past June.

Yeah, but there are some chill locals. If you pay for a meal I bet you'd get some dudes to show up.

They're all professional-like so you might not make any long term hangouts type friends. But you never know eh.

If I still lived there, I'd totally be down. Unfortunately, my new home is Seattle, which is a ways away.
