Tentative Rules/Procedure
1. Try to post songs that are not on standard and/or easily accessible LP/EPs.
2. Try checking/searching the mediaf!re thread first.
3. If you are looking for a specific song, look it up on http://www.allmusic.com first. If it is on an album, google it (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=backstreet+boys+mediaf!re) or use your favorite (hopefully legal) methods before requesting.

This is a good idea.
I stumbled on an awesome Frightened Rabbit xmas track the other day.
Frightened Rabbit - "It's Christmas So We'll Stop"

this would work well if requests were allowed. a sort of collective filling-of-gaps in all our music libraries. as long as people don't start asking for dead-easy-to-find stuff.
-
^ I am all for that.
-
could someone post The Flesh Parade by The Legendary Pink Dots, in that case? I've never been able to find an album with it.
-
Go to allmusic.com, search for Legendary Pink Dots, click 'songs', click 'all songs', find the song you're after and click on it and check what albums it appears on. Google "Prayer for Aradia mediafire" and find this:

thanks
Hmm, according to this archive anyway, The Flesh Parade isn't actually a song on its own. I didn't know that. The album is divided into two long songs: Part 1 and Part 2.
-
I don't know! I've never listened to these people. I just believe that if you can't find it you haven't been searching hard enough and that people have a history of requesting things that are pretty simple to find. If this is not one of those things then ok, yeah request away but a lot of people don't even try.
-
sorry, I wasn't trying to be a dick. That's why I made sure to say thanks first, you see.
It's just a little off-putting that I searched for over an hour for that and you (apparently) found it in about five seconds. So I felt the need to justify that a bit, I guess.

right, this is gonna seem like a rather large request, but i'm prepared to make it worth your while...
basically, i'm looking for the b-sides from biffy clyro's "puzzle" album. i've managed to find about half of them, but they're all in pretty terrible quality/format. however, i've found this:
http://www.amazon.com/Missing-Pieces/dp/B002AB1IA8/ref=sr_1_1/181-3457997-8396600?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1260708131&sr=8-1
however, i'm in the UK, and while i'd be fully willing to pay for it, i can't buy it off the US amazon site, and it's not on the UK one (despite them being a fucking UK band!!! :x)
so, in the absence of paypal (it wont seem to work for my card), i have come up with an idea - if any of you fine americans would be willing to buy said album off amazon and upload it on here, i will purchase for you in return an album of equal value and upload it in return.
obviously, if anyone already has the album i'm after, i'll still provide something awesome in return.
-
oh fuck, did i just kill this?
-
it's pretty dumb you can't get it in the UK.

Since I don't think this thread is really going to work all that well as a request joint I'ma just put up something odd and interesting.
Here's Bonnie Prince Billy singing a cover of "Ostia" by avant-industrial-cum-neofolk legends Coil (http://www.box.net/shared/qou3rdvxqy). It's from a relatively recent tribute album to Coil, whose singer Jhonn Balance fell to his death in 2005.
