Title: You heard it here first. (Raw tracks)
Post by: A Wet Helmet on 25 Jan 2010, 19:58
Mondays Goldfish is a  keyboard and bass duo consisting of two fifteen year old girls* that describe themselves as Elctro-coustic Indie Folk.

For your listening pleasure, I'm uploading two very, very raw --but original-- tracks that they recorded today.  By raw, I mean seriously... this is essentially the naked tracks.  They haven't been even been EQed yet and on playback there is some popping which is probably a buffering issue on the old Mac that this was recorded on.   The audio imperfections will be sorted out soon, but they're excited about recording so I promised them I'd upload a sample and see if anyone had any comments.    If you would be so inclined as to give them a listen and pass along your critiques, I'm sure they'd be much appreciated.   The EP will be out --hopefully-- within a couple of weeks.  I think they're up to seven original songs right now.

*full disclosure statement:  The bass player in this duo is my daughter.

Well, I liked the songs.  Tell them to keep up the good work.

I liked it, but they could a drum or two. The bass is nice but I dunno, with bass and without percussion these songs seem twice as long.

I will pass those comments along.  Thanks for giving them a listen.

Ok, actually, I'll just tell them to check this thread, but still thank you.
