So hey I'm hoping this doesn't bother anybody's spamming sensitivities but I think this is a great promotion from a solid company so I'm giving this a thread.
Basically, Chrome (who make some pretty great messenger bags plus cyclist apparel) are taking your shitty old shoes and giving you brand new Chrome shoes for free which are supposed to last you a good while. I am really upset I threw out my two worn-out sets of shoes not four months ago now.
Details are on their facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/chromebags.sf), packages must be postmarked no later than the 18th of February March.
Presumably the whole point of this scheme is so that people will go crazy advertising for them (also maybe they want a bunch of crapped-out shoes for some ad?) but hey they make good stuff and they're giving it away for free. Mission accomplished. Hopefully some of you want new shoes?

Compared to converse, you should go down 1/2 size or so in our shoes. So if you wear a 10 in chucks, get a 9.5 in chrome shoes.

This is so cool but I can honestly say that I would never wear any of those shoes, so it's really pointless for me to do it. Sad.

Dang, shipping is too expensive, I guess, unless I swapped my favourite pair of shoes (the raggediest pair of converse-like trainers to walk the earth).

Yes, this is for UK and all international folks aswell! As far as shoe type goes, we're ONLY TAKING SNEAKERS. No sandals, flip-flops, high heels or any of that other shit...
I remember when OK Go had people do their dance from the early video that wasn't the treadmills, they said they'd give everyone trophies, but people never got them. Hopefully it will not happen that Chrome will get so overwhelmed that they will not be able to keep up, but I think it is possible that they may say "Okay sorry we underestimated the insanity of the internet and we can not afford to give away any more shoes we have already given away one thousand shoes and we are bankrupt". It's still worth the $15 gamble in postage to me; I have some worn-out shoes and I would love some shiny new Chrome shoes to wear this summer.

Shit yes, got my bike fitted today, and came home to a brand new pair of Chrome shoes! They look fantastic, too! Now I can totally fit in with the bike mafia. Pics to come later.

Mine arrived in the mail today, but they were a size too small :-(. Le sigh. Well at least they were essentially free, and I'll probably donate them to charity or something. I'll probably buy a pair sometime in the future (Which is probably exactly why they had this promotion) cause they look awesome.

For some reason Chrome sent me four pairs of shoes instead of one? RIDICULOUS.
My roommates did this but I had class and couldn't mail them in time :c Now everyone will have matching shoes but me.
What size feet you got? I've got a couple spare pairs if you want to match.

They shipped me an extra pair of 10 1/2 shoes, but I'm going to try and sell them on kijiji so I can afford a bike. If I get no bites before the bike I want goes off sale, maybe I'll send them your way.
I feel like windfalls should be shared but I also feel like I would like to buy this bike that is on sale until Friday and I've only got like $110 right now.

OK so I felt a little dirty trying to sell these shoes for a quick buck to buy me a cheap bike, so instead I borrowed $500 from my mom and bought a sweet used bike from the shop that was used as a rental rig last year.
Kieffer gimme an address and I'll mail you some 10 1/2 mens shoes when I get my next paycheck and can afford postage.
Andy you here? You got 7 1/2 ladies feet? I'll bring you some shoes next time I'm in Halifax.
