I've checked the LiveJournal archives without success.
Some time ago Jeph posted a picture of a non-cartoon woman who looks the way he imagines Dora looking. Does anyone have the link, or the picture, or remember enough about it to make my searching more productive?

Aside from Patrick thinking you're creepy (don't know, don't care, won't go there), I only remember the real-life Haners.
There was a Dora/Marten couple from Halloween who posted a pic on the forums a while back, though. Maybe that's what you're thinkng of?

Impressive as that was, there was also some random photo Jeph found on the intertubes which he said looked like the way he imagined Dora. It should go with the drawing of Dora on the wiki. Ditto the real-life Hannelore doppelganger, if anyone knows where that came from.

A quick and not unpleasant google image search, and I can see it. A short haired, younger Winona Ryder who isn't showing major cleavage definitely has some Dora qualities.
Yeah this does feel a little creepy.

Winona Ryder? Haha, that's cool. Winona's got more of a babyface (surely the term can be used for women too), but I can still see it.
Although, I insist Dora could kick Winona Ryder's ass. You know... hypothetically speaking. I'm sure Dora would insist it too.

I don't picture Dora like that because that girl looks 10x hotter and 10x less bitchy than how I imagine Dora.

[sigh] I've been debating sharing this, because it was pretty formative (and too damn telling), but here goes...
I was 12 in the mid-70's when we moved into the house. There were cupboards built into one wall in the basement, and my dad had my brother and I load his tools into them, and organize the stuff as best we could. At the back of the bottommost cupboard was a stack of magazines...
Eiight years of Playboys and nearly as many Penthouse magazines. After peeking at them for years at the cigar shop where I bought my comic books, I'd struck pubescent gold.
It probably ruined me for life, but damn, it was a fun trip. And no, I don't have hem anymore (stop asking).
I'm guessing Sven found his father's collection at some point, he's far too young to have seen 70's centerfolds when they were current!
