J, I see the point you are trying to make, however, your linked thread is about the film which is only slightly related to the series. The is nothing wrong with posting a thread about a television series.
a better approach i think would have been to tell a new story within the same continuity, either a sequel with the characters having a new adventure (perhaps tying up a loose plot thread or two) or to do a prequel with a previous avatar.
What did you guys think of the live-action version of “The Last Airbender”?
Konietzko: We’re just really focused on this new show right now, and kind of taking this off in its own direction and not concerning ourselves with that right now.
So you didn’t follow the casting controversy about the movie version of “The Last Airbender”?
Konietzko: We didn’t head up that film. We’re just happy to be back generating the original content in this mythology, which is what we do.
Rumor is that it will also do some flashbacks to the old gang and their adventures.
The things I want touched on:
-Zuko's mom
-Iroh's spirit world experience
-Maybe some reconciliation between Toph and her parents
-Also anything involving the White Lotus
And fuck, that's about it
Name spelling are guesses, obviously.
Recap:

Sorry about that.
Also, loved this exchange from Episode 1:
Jinora (Katara's granddaughter): Gran Gran, I've been reading all about your old adventures. I've been dying to ask you, what happened to Zuko's mom?
Katara: Well, Jinora, it's an incredible tale! *is interrupted by other granddaughter*
The first two episodes are on Nick.com as we speak. Watched them today.I can't watch them, obviously - region restricted, and nickelodeon.nl doesn't have them - and an American proxy seems to stop the video from loading. Anyone know a way around that?
Question arising from the last episode of LoK:(click to show/hide)
... in the second... do you really think this generation cares?
There's already legal and illegal online distribution at high quality. (I know, I looked) The pirated copies are done, and the ink's dry for DVDs. Who the fuck cares about TV reruns unless you're from the stone age?
As a creative exercise, I wrote up a concept for a third Avatar series (taking place after Legend of Korra). That's pretty cool, I like it:)
