Title: shirt.woot
Post by: smack that isaiah on 24 Jul 2010, 20:03
So, I made an entry in this week's shirt.woot.com derby (http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=44371).  I know I don't stand a chance with some of the really (http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=44260) good (http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=44267) entries (http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=44268) there (I especially like that last one, could you also vote that up if possible?  I'd like to buy that shirt), but I figured I'd spread the word and ask (if you like it and have previously purchased something from a woot affiliated site) to vote for it?  Just as an ego boost, really.

Afterwards, I figure this thread could be useful for any other person on this site who may submit to the shirt.woot derbies.  Does anyone?  I remember one person had his "Let's Curdle" print as a daily.

I wish there were less obvious ripoffs of other people's work on that site.

I concur on certain entries, though I'd have to say the community there is pretty tight.  When someone rips off of someone else directly, it's usually caught by one of us(and some of us are very passionate about it).  Would you care to elaborate for conversation's sake?

In order to vote you must:

1.) Have an account (they are free)
2.) Have bought a shirt or some other merchandise from Woot.com

The first day a shirt is sold, it is only $10.  Every day thereafter, it is $15. :)

Shirt.Woot.com is a great place for aspiring t-shirt designers to try their hand at getting printed and paid.  I hope some of you will consider taking a look.
